jayjaymozza
Hi, I took my yama buggy out for the first time today (bought it second hand) it seems to run okay when giving alot of throttle although a little to much smoke, but when I give it little throttle it seems to bog / go to die until more throttle is giving. I have tried the low speed screw but still no luck. Any ideas ? Thanks
Gaz!
What ratio fuel/oil you using? Lots of smoke points to running too much oil or running rich I think.....you could try going back to factory settings and go from there....
jayjaymozza
Go back to factory settings on the card?
fletch101
Check oil fuel mix is right and id say try learning off high speed screw a bit Give it a good warm up and blast out before tuning though and small movements at a time Speaking from general carb setting. Not had much experience with mine yet. Hoping too give it good run tomorrow in anger lol
andyknight
Bogging at initial pull off is normally too rich on the lsn, particularly if you're not on full throttle.
jayjaymozza
Ended up changing fuel and putting some fresh 32:1 mixed in, also changed the low and high speed screws back to factory, seems to have done the trick. Just need to fix the tick over a little now Thanks

Oh How Original
I thought 32:1 seemed odd.
flatout!
Pmsl! Lol! Can only advice using the 25.1, ? hows Dan?
mark35
32/1 is less oil to petrol incase you didn't know???
flatout!
Mmm these things burn oil so less than what it's supposed to have it would get a bit warm wouldn't it, bit of friction going on I bet lol! I'll stick to the 25.
Nitroholic
32:1 would not cause any long term harm and should run fine. The oil is to lubricate the bearings and friction surfaces. It's burnt because it ends up in the combustion chamber.
Jays-bond
Oil/ fuel mixture isn't really the cause for the bogging down... I'd say it was over fueling.. id also stick to the manufacturer recommended ratio of 1/25..
