engine stalling when stopping

Check that your throttle linkage is correctly set and that your idle gap is right.

It's easy to check.

1) With the engine OFF..... switch on the transmitter and receiver in order

2) Remove the air filter so you can see the throttle slide.

3) Operate the throttle so you can see the slide go fully open...then release. There should be a gap around 1mm at the widest point between the carb slide and the throttle body.

4) Apply full brake. If the gap closes that is your problem.

If either the gap is too wide or the gap closes, you will need to adjust the idle screw to set the 1mm gap. If the gap does not change, or closes when you brake, the servo is holding the throttle open not the stop screw. You will need to adjust the linkage to stop this happening.
