  1. There is someone on the nitro rc enthusiast facebook page that regularly makes his own fuel called luke shaw. Its pretty easy and he's helped other make it
  2. Just picked up this thunder tiger ssk v1 for £90 with spares and fuel and the whole dam collection of 70 magazines that were bought to build it back in the day including the extra 17 magazines for the upgrades they would offer you after you finished it. The person whoever originally built this spent £522 maybe abit more building this jeeze thats mental. Its been hardly used the chassis has zero marks its abit dirty but thats it all i gotta do is put modern electrics in it before i try to run. So did i get a good deal? Or is this about right to pay these days?
  3. I seem to have a problem with one way bearings getting stuck/seized onto the starting shafts only after long use obviously. but every engine ive had has at some point had the one way bearing mess up (like they all do eventually) and instead of just being able to replace the one way bearing they always seem to get stuck on for some reason and i always end up needing a new engine or lots of new parts instead of just needing a one way bearing. Anyone know why this keeps ****ing happing its super annoying
  4. Hmm strange never had problem with finding somewhere to run them or people complaining and ive always ran them in very public places or even out in my street and even ran them in front of police number of times never once had problem dog walkers tend to love it coz their dog will just chase my rc so saves them the exercise lol and most passerbys will stop and ask me about my nitro car. And as for petrols whenever i look at them there to big for me to store anywhere and too expensive nitro cars can be pretty well priced new or used obviously electric tends to be bit cheaper but nitro not that much more expensive to put me off and i have two nitro two electric and i tend to get bored of electric coz its less involved feels less of a hobby and more of toy coz toys u just pick up n play for the most part and nitros require more work like most real hobbies if you know what i mean requires more attention like building models or restoring a classic car for example where as electric not much too it i only like them for the winter months or if im feeling to lazy to deal with nitro but still wanna run some rc's. Im just surprised its died that much coz its kinda owning a classic car there less reliable but loads people that will prefer them to modern cars which are easier injust thought it would kinda be the same with nitro rc cars obviously theres still some of us out there that do still bother with them but didn't think it would get this little to the point of the actual market for them dying off
  5. Yh i know its a shame most people are lazy like that coz even tho nitro more hassle its also more rewarding i think than electric everyone should have at least one nitro in their colection i think it can teach you alot. Shame most people have let it die this much
  6. Yh was thinking i probs will have too and maybe not bash it as hard as i used too as parts may dry up cheers
  7. Ahh that would make sense then shame really hope they get back on their feet
  8. I've been away from rc for awhile but now im getting back into it I've noticed nitre cars and spares are harder to get or choices are alot more limited than used to. Hpi seem to have hardly any nitro stuff as i was trying to look at spares for my savage and i thought hpi was one of the more popular nitro brands. I know brushless electric car had kinda taken over but didnt realize nitro was going out this much
  9. as you can see from the pictures the pin that goes through the driveshaft is very small and is therefore leaving a lot of slop but the pin going through the axle is bigger and fits perfect. so my question is could it be because i have upgraded axles or is the ball joint thing wrong
  10. hpi trophy or firestorm and the rest on upgrades or fuel
  11. yh i was using it its doing my headin coz i just got the arrma kraton and cant use it coz it dont come with normal connectors so have to solder them on myself and i hate doing connecotrs at best of times lol
  12. tried that the solder don't wanna stick too the bullet that well it kinda does but its hard and even when I do get a bit of solder on the bullet just holding my iron on the bullet don't do much
  13. Its adjustable I had it on max at one point and idk the tip should be not used it much I normally use my other one and idk just solder lol
  14. I know how to solder just fine never had a problem in the past when soldering but these xt-90 connectors just don't seem to want to bond with my batteries wires. when I watched a video it looked **** easy they just soldered right on not these ****ers. anyone got any tips or know why and don't say get different connectors
  15. well its a cheap rc so it was never actually going to be waterproof they just say that for advertisement it is only splashproof you did alot more than splash lol. anyway if you want an actually waterproof rc spend the money on a decent rc or decent electrics
  16. I would just take the electrics out and clean them by hand with a wipe or something then hose down the rest of the car
  17. yh I've heard of these things too but that was with the old one this is the new v2 model so all the stuff should be fixed now
  18. yh I can't I've made move a tiny bit more now so its not even touching the spur now
