Glenyboy
Hi there, over the weekend I purchased a used Jeep Wrangler unlimited c/r edition. As its a rtr version I understand that it doesn't come with metal links like the builders kit. From reading around I've read that it's worth upgrading these, and possibly the steering link. I'd seen this kit on asiatees that seemed reasonablehttp://www.asiatees.com/display?Axial-SCX10-Parts-Hop-Ups-Upgrades&brand=Axial&model=SCX10&id=108503&pid=1 And is it really essential to have the front c's with the steering link?http://www.asiatees.com/display?Axial-SCX10-Parts-Hop-Ups-Upgrades&brand=Axial&model=SCX10&id=108490&pid=1 Thanks for looking, any pointers are greatly accepted as I'm new to this type of rc'ing. Steven.T
Might aswell upgrade the front C's aswell, one less plastic thing thing to snap! With those links you might want to get some upper links aswell, they will be plastic aswell so upgrade them. I've never used the Team Raffee stuff but I have used all GPM gear on my wraith and they seem spot on!

Theodore Bagwell
Welcome to the forum...the more parts you can change to metal the better.
Glenyboy
Thanks, it's looking that way! The rear lower links are already warped. I've been looking at changing the links on it, the rear has 4 and the front has 3. Is there any benefit running a 4 link on the front? Glenyboy
Would this be the part for running 4 links on the front?https://www.asiatees.com/display?Axial-SCX10-Parts-Hop-Ups-Upgrades&brand=Axial&model=SCX10&id=82461&pid=
Zombi
See this for front 4-link mounting - Banners made it me earlier in the week http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/209264-zombis-axial-scx-10/?p=2188765 Edited July 12, 2015 by Zombi
Glenyboy
I did see that in your thread, is it expensive? I also see the brass weights he made for you too, from having a go I can definitely see the advantage of adding weight. I may have to get those too. Zombi
Send him a PM or contact him on Facebook through his Loaded Ox page and he'll sort you out. Don't forget links too for the 4-link setup, they're natural shorter when using his mount.
Glenyboy
Are the lower links different too?

Glenyboy
Oh good, I've got lower links in the post. I was going to make the upper rears and that's how I came looking up about the 4 link front. I'll be honest that I'm pretty disappointed in the rtr's quality, it's lucky I didn't pay the full price!
Zombi
Aye I learnt that lesson from my Yeti RTR. Axial seems to have a rep for below par RTR packages it seems.
Glenyboy
Just got my parts through And have found the links are far too short
Glenyboy
The props fitted well, the steering link and front c's went on ok.
