Popular Post Oh How Original
As some of you know, I had a bit of a project on it's way over from HK, it arrived at the same time as the SCX10, but I build the SCX10 first, now I'm awaiting parts for that, so I thought I'd reveal this for those who don't actually know what it is, some guesses where close, I know a couple of people who knew who I told, but most where miles off. Anyway here it is, from Stella Models, my MC8 8X8 crawler/scaler. I'm mentioning the price merely because the saving over the eBay price is good, but with shipping, the extras I bought (8 axle stands, complete set of the yellow hard springs and complete set of alloy hangers) it came to just shy of $790, which works out to around £475. I was very lucky and didn't get my collar felt at customs as well, if you're wanting to order one, it's definitely best to send them an E-Mail first and ask them to mark it as a gift. Mine was marked as a big but cheap item and it was also marked as a gift, worth $23, so they really do their best to get it through. Can't recommend them highly enough, really good customer service and fast responses. Anyway, onto the truck itself, I've done a fair bit of digging round and everyone apart from Paul who has one seems to be in the USA... The driveshafts are apparently pretty weak but I'm sure something else will fit without too much trouble. My first impressions are good, tyres are a little bit on the hard side, but with cut foams I'm sure they will bed in a little bit. Build quality from the feel of it seems good, I made one of the axle stands to see what the quality felt like and I'm surprised for the money I paid. I plan on going over the instructions a good bit tonight and then cracking on with the build tomorrow. It's all in Chinese so a bit confusing in places, not going to rush it and I know my SCX10 isn't going to be moving for a good few days, so it should give me a chance to give this a good going over and maybe get it built up in that time Very much been looking forward to this and can't wait to get cracking with it, this should be a good one!! Anyway, here's a picture of it all out of the box and ready to go. Edited September 11, 2016 by Oh How Original
Rover Man
Not the best idea to have the value marked down as if it went missing in the post you can only claim the value declared.. So in your case your lost

Cheers mucker. I'd be interested to know the dimension of it when it is complete if that's OK? I'd like a multi axle rig that could run with the other 10th scalers I own you see. Just can't afford that damned Capo!!

If the dimensions they provide are correct, then look below, I can't say 100% though. And the Capo is overpriced IMO. Beige
i've been watching RC mojo build one of these on youtube, it looks awesome! the body looks mega detailed When you get to the body, the stock access with the tilting cab is dreadful! I built mine so the top panel of the roof is held on with magnets, makes life so much easier. Also can't help noticing the front link mounting plates might be not quite right Enjoy the build! Theres plenty of it

Oh How Original
The green in the background the far right hiding behind my diff grease is the primer, the next one along is what the D90 will be and the left two green ones are for this 8x8. I'm unsure if 2 cans will do it, may need a third one, I plan to give it a good few coats and theirs a hell of a lot of body to do lol. RC4WD would be
