I emailed them several days ago and still not heard a thing so wonder if they're still going???

Would you mind letting us know of they reply?

Might order a set myself.

Oops.

Had a slight miss-hap.

Managed to snap one of the ball connectors off on top of the front axle.

Oh well.

Got some incoming. :)

Sorry if this is against forum rules.

I've found this on ebay

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=261513739361

According to pics I've seen on RCMT.net it appears to fit in front or behind the axle.

Just to add, seller replied to my message, designed to fit behind the axle. Edited by Syncro

.... and the proof ....

I've used different rods, and RC4WD rod ends - took a bit of manipulating - but they fit perfectly and from maximum height to full compression, the tie rods never touch the links.

Fair question - nothing wrong with them.

I just wanted it looking a bit more 'custom', using RC4WD rod ends and tie rods bought from China / Japan in a sale.

Just wanted it to look a bit more rugged. Those wheels weigh a lot as well!!

Nice idea.

Didn't consider that one.

Space is limited with the internal linkages and I suppose I might have to 'up' the diameter for strength, so it definitely would be marginal.

Really carbon fibre, or the carbon impregnated nylon rod you normally find?

Good option 'though.

Well whatever the reason it certainly looks the part.

Nice set-up. I need to the same to mine I think.

The one and only thing I'm not keen on with my txt is the stock servo position with the bumper.

Just looks clumsy to me.

Thanks for posting your pics, I'm new to the txt thing so that's helped a lot.

Yes it's proper carbon fibre tube. Nice and stiff and I like the way it gives you all black linkage. I used 5mm OD tube with M3 threaded rod. Bought it from a model shop at about a third of the best eBay price.

Looks so much better without that ugly stock bumper / servo mount. Linkage has been altered a bit to move it closer to the axle since photo was taken.

Agreed.

They look nice.

I'm still waiting to 'finalise' the upper 'bumper'.

I'd bought aftermarket aluminium ones - mainly to be different - but recognised that the front mounts should be shorter than the back - but they're not with the aftermarket ones.

They do make the chassis a LOT more rigid, which is a bonus.

I failed on the original cut and drill attempt for the front - replacement is on the way.

Not too happy with the Al tubing they supply for the bumper - almost too 'chunky' so I've also bought some New Era 'Revo' tube bumpers on Ebay - alignment is close, so its a wait and see!!

The fathing around we do just to make these rides different!!

There's an RC4WD 'brace' for the centre / diff mounting of the upper links if you consider necessary.

I'm not going to 'bash' but did anyway, just to try and bulletproof it further.

I do like that shade of Orange .....  :whistling:

I've not had any problems with the chassis flexing so far. I thought about the ali bumpers but as you say a bit too chunky. Be interesting to see what the New Era bumpers look like.

Don't know why Tamiya hasn't come out with a proper orange like my "Psycho" orange yet rather than having to combine colours.
