Lego 42065 RC Tracked Racer

Well not exactly what I'd call a racer although it could probably impress a snail. :D Went together easily in a few hours. A nice afternoons build. Actually runs quite well although not exactly fast. Hard plastic tracks do limit it's climbing ability and it's best on carpet where the tracks can get some grip.

Looks ok. Is there any way of increasing the grip? You know those small sticky rubber dots that come with flat pack furniture, would they work?

I was thinking of little ruuber plugs that could be inserted in the holes in the tracks. Don't think the stick on ones would stay on. Something like this.

They look good. Worth an experiment.

Rubber grommets arrived for the tracks of the 42065 RC Tracked Racer. They should fit with a bit of minor trimming. About 148 or so of them to fit now. :omgblinky:

In the meantime finished the build of the Cobi Small Army Opel Blitz 3 ton truck and the 88 flak for it to tow.

Just one 2 x 3 black piece missing from the Blitz but cut down a spare 2 x 4 piece so no problem.

The Blitz is a rather nice kit

Well worth the 17 quid I paid for it on sale and with the 88 flak for only another 12 quid a nice liitle budget project.

Oddly enough it's only the occasional bog standard part that is missing not the special parts. :017:

Often the case in Snooker that the hard pots are rarely missed but the easy ones bounce off the jaws.
