trophey 3.5 stalling issue

Hi all, i have just fitted a Jammin JP4 exhaust to my trophy 3.5 and now it is running really bad, keeps stalling and just sounds really boggy, temps are real low running at around 60 degrees C. Any ideas????

You'll need to re-tune your engine by what youve said it sounds like its running rich and will need leaning out

You mean tuning it via the high speed needle, I'm pretty new to all this. oh, there is lots of smoke too

yeah turn your high side needle 1/8 of a turn and run it up and down and keep doing it till you see the car improve , what fuel and % of fuel you using

That thing will run sweet with the JP-4, just tuning mate, loads of smoke is too rich, like it says about, lean out 1/8 at a time and try it, if it bogs and cuts out, lean another 1/8 and go again..

 

Only do this with the HSN and dont touch the LSN until that is sorted!

 

Also, don't get it too lean

round the 100c really or slightly over or slighty under , once you get to now how to tune , your tune by sight and sound like i do

Hi im a neewbie to nitro, I wanted to know the needle factory settings on a hpi trophy 3.5 engine. In the manual it states 3.5 turns from closed for both hsn and lsn. Can someone confirm if that means 1 turn=360 degree or 180 degrees?

So, i have tried to re-tune from the beginning but i am having issues, engine just cuts out when ever i let go of the throttle from full speed, engine is running at around 105 degs.

 

If i turn back the hsn the same thing happens even if i turn it all the way back to flush, can anyone give me some advice?? getting frustrated with it now!!!
