Personally... I wouldn't buy that engine.

why are you asking us about the engine...you own one and have had lots of other OBR engines etc etc. including the 36cc surely you should be telling us what it's like not asking us what we think.

I've just built an engine using an OBR crankcase, fitted with a 36mm gas-flowed zen head and piston and a +1 RCMK crankshaft and it flys in my MCD. i was that impressed with the product AND the service i've ordered another. They even modded it to fit my W5

I had quite a few people tell me they were riddled with issues, before I bought a car with one in and although my experience is short the only real issue, if it can even be classified as so, is that they are so tight starting them is a bit of a nightmare......but once you get the hang of it (thanks to Thunderwolf) it becomes easier.

 

As far as running, it purrs like a kitten and has great bottom end power, much more than my mates stock 30.5cc engine.

I've just fitted an OBR 30.5 pro stock, which has now had a gallon through it & it flies!

 

I had a Zenoah G290RC 28.5 4 bolt before & that had plenty of torque & power, but the OBR is way beyond that.
