HI guys

recently broke the gearbox in my savage I got a new casing an rebuilt it but I cant remember how the brakes work on it? it seems all it does is push the little brass bit out ? can someone show me some pictures of how I put it back together :)

The shaft slides in from the side, with the flat face pointing towards the opening. Then you slot in the little brass piston part and fit the disc and pads. When you move the brake arm, it pushes the brass piston out, which forces the discs against the fixed pads.

thanks for that, is there anything holding the lever in place? also do I need the gearbox back out to fit it ? as the truck is pretty much assembled now haha

If the truck's back together - take one of the TVP's off and the rear bulkhead assembly, take the rear drive shaft out, then you you can get to the back of the tranny to put the piston in (after the lever..). Think that's about the easiest way!
