  5. bogging is normal its going to be set to rich from factory which will overfuel it and make it bog down im fairly new to the rc scene as well but watch some youtube videos and read all the stickies on here and your have a good idea of what to do! to rich = no damage to lean = over heating and chance of blowing your engine up
  6. To be fair to the guy I got him to end the auction early.. I'll give it a spruce up when I get home

  9. Well I brought it It's good enough for what I want I have a bump box and it has a flywheel for it as well as a pull start so bonus! I may put 2.4 ghz on it.. Then again I may not! Haven't had it running yet mainly because the receiver is flat and has this type of connector for it Does anyone know what sort of charger I need for it?
  10. Think he likes the noise! He just chases it around and I don't have any neighbours for about a mile in each direction so that's not an issue I did think about brushless but they just hold to much money.. I've found a hyper I'm picking up today for 110 so hopefully it should do the job! Thanks for the help guys!
  11. So hyper 7 would still be the best choice? Thanks for the reply!
  12. Hi guys, I haven't been in the rc scene for 2 years or so.. I have a year old Akita who used to love chasing my savage around I sold it not long back as I didn't have the time to fix it.. I recently brought a heli which is fun but the dog isn't a fan, so I'm going to get another car.. I want a buggy really and a few years ago the hyper 7 seemed the cheapest and easiest to get parts for, is this still the case?
  13. Has anyone done this? My slipper is playing up and I'm thinking of just drilling it and putting a couple of bolts so it's in theory solid? Would it work?
  14. i had a madbull when I was 8 and I loved it ! never broke it and I tried very hard

  17. hi lads I need this gear with the little screws that go in it aswell
  18. Hi gents I had the rubber bit between the exhaust break not long back I put my spare on which isn't very good and the oilys substance has seeped into the owb and made it slip .. I took it off put it in nitro fuel and it worked for another run but soon started slipping again but the exhaust hasn't leaked much this time, so is it time for another owb? or can I soak it in something a bit stronger and it will be good as new again ?
  19. anyone who is of a mature age and has stolen a toy off a 14 year old does deserve a slap! that's the problem with this country all this human rights ****! the reason they did it is because they know if they are caught they will get a telling off probably a police caution boo hoo big deal ... if we were somewhere with a decent punishment system say chopping there hands off the little lad would still be happily playing with his car !!!!
  20. offen when its a little chilly I do a few circles with the igniter still in the engine to stop it cutting out every 2 seconds
  21. its down to personal preference what you want
  22. there are pros and cons to every starting system, make sure you have a spare few backplates if your using a rotostart as it will eat them for breakfast if your not used to using one. me personally ive had a pullstart on my savage which has lasted well over a year without even cleaning the OWB im just dead gentle with it or really lucky? :-) welcome to the world of nitro rc and expect it to be draining your wallet nearly as much as a woman!
  23. i brought a massive 12v battery on ebay for about 15 quid it took about 4 hours to charge but its got some serious stonk in a starter box the one I had in before just didn't have the juice to get the motor upto speed
