Ok so i've nearly finished running in the .21 engine of thhe hyper 7 TQ2 and I need a different type of feul (high performance)

What's the process of changing the fuel type as i'm sure they must not mix.

Also what fuel is reccomended and a supplier that will ship to the isle of wight. Thanks

Byrons 25% is what I would recommend...I imagine ModelSport ship to the IOW.

Note the manual recommends two different mixes of Byron, the RTR has more oil...I would stick with the above for more performance and cleaner running. The manual also recommends ModelTechnics Dynaglo...this is also a good fuel...but I would still opt for the Byron given the choice.

I have used Byron fuel in the past and wished they did a 1L 1 gallon is to much for me.

They sell Byron by the quart (just over a litre) in USA, do not think I have seen it sold here though....maybe worth ringing MS or whoever you are getting Byron from and asking.

Duraglow as far as i can remember is quite oily -infact i found it too oily 9% EDL and 6% castor oil, where as dynaglow has 8%EDL and 2% castor i think some of those mixes are meant for helis/planes although i may be wrong. Near me the shop sells model technics stuff and i have used the big bang 25% for years with no issues thats just 10% EDL with no castor- im no expert, i just had to go with what was available to me

Although Byron is one of the best fuel out there for a racer, its a little on the expensive side. I run Opti Fuel rtr for 5 litres at 23.99 its not bad. those who don't race and are on budget or bashers, Opti fuel will be a better choice over Byron's all day long. You get 5 litres in an Option Fuel whereas in a Byron fuel (racers fuel) you only get 3.7 litres

My shop didn't have dynaglo so I bought some duraglo 25. Is this good for the hyper engine?

As said it has more oil than you need or want really. It will work and will not damage the engine (in fact excellent for a new engine  ) but it will be messy and have less performance than the other fuels I mentioned.

There are plenty of good fuels about.

if your LHS has for example Racing experience and you have been told to buy byrons then in all honesty ask for some of what they are smoking as its some serious high quality.

Byrons and optimix are great, readily available from most places but dont discount the ones you may have not seen before

brands like Racing experience, RB, Nitrolux or however they are called (fancy gold tin) etc etc

just avoid stuff like "Monster nitro juice"
