  1. Thanks guys for the replies...just got myself a new (fast) boat, so looking for something with a bit of "punch "....Think I may give them a go & hopefully they will be OK 👌
  2. Anyone bought/using these lipo batteries ? ...Reviews seem good but any genuine reviews from you guys would be better.
  3. Run it in lipo mode then with an alarm fitted (cheap as chips on ebay).... then check voltage as soon as it cuts.
  4. Mine did the same so I ran it in nimh mode as I said. I think the cut off should be 3.4......the trouble with the BLX 100 is you can't alter the voltage cut, only select between lipo & nimh. In the end I bought a Hobbywing MAX10 SCT but, you could always try a warranty claim if it's a relatively new car.
  5. Been looking at these myself but, MS charge 4.50 postage....!!!!! For a bit of thin vinyl ? Can't even collect anymore as it appears that they are not opening the shop after lockdown!
  6. Could be that you have one of the dodgy esc's that cut at 3.8v. Try running on nimh mode with a voltage alarm.
  7. A quick bit of "rough" footage from today. Just taken from my phone so, no gimbal stabalisation. Spent an hour or so in the nice weather 😁 20210324_121533_001_001.mp4
  8. Thought this one turned out ok.....simple white (metalic) & black !
  9. Unfortunatly l havn't had chance to give her a propper run yet. Just put a couple of pics on the Venture thred of her in the garden.
  10. Couple of pictures of my SBK Venture/Gladiator. Not had chance to run her propper yet with all this wet weather...everywhere is just saturated ! Quite pleased with how it turned out tho ! 😁
  11. I've just built one of these myself and, yes it's a beautiful kit. Throughly enjoyed it start to finish. I was really hoping that the FJ body would come back in stock but it hasn't (latest guesstimate is Feb...from Wheelspin) so, l went for Jeep Gladiator. I'll look forward to seeing the rest of your build mate, Cheers 🍻
  12. Yes, merry Christmas everyone.....doesn't really feel like Christmas though does it ! All the best for the new year. Let's hope that it's better than the one we've just had, Cheers guys 🍻
  13. Just had a look on Google maps......Best have a covid test while your there! 🤣😷. Have fun mate.
  14. Also have a look at the "Dusty Motors" covers.
  15. Yes, grit getting in there can be a problem. I tend to use mine on grass if l can.
  16. Love a bit of boating now and then for a change 👍
  17. Haha.....know what you mean about the anti social nitro bit! But sometimes, you just have to DO IT !!! 🤣
  18. Enjoy mate 👍 let us all know what you think. I run a Senton myself & it's great fun 😄
  19. If I hadn't gone for the Trophy it would have been the Hobao hyper ST. Looks like a good truck but I can't comment, having never owned one ! On the issue of nitro v electric, be aware that nitro can be somewhat finicky/temperamental unless you have a guiding hand (there's always you tube videos as well as help on the forum). With electric its just plug n play.....but with limited run time unless you have a stash of batteries, that don't come cheap!!! If you decided to go the electric route l would recommend an Armma Senton or Granite. Good luck 👍
  20. Had a HPI Trophy Truggy for years & it's been excellent. Had the inevitable breakages & that might be a problem at the moment. Some parts are in stock but, not sure what is going on with HPI at the moment, so items not in stock may become unavailable.
  21. Looks like something I could do with! 🙂
  22. Never used one so I can't comment. There's a thread on here about them from a few years back. Might be worth a look at.
  23. Hong Nor engine's are good, run one in my trophy truggy for a long time now. No problems.
