I watched a video that the RC Saylors put up about this situation a while ago.

To say Traxxas were heavy handed would be an understatement.

Felt bad for the couple who run the channel, really shook them up.

I've subscribed to their channel to show solidarity, and may even look at a few of their cheapo heli vids, but their car stuff is rather uninspiring and / or quite annoying(for me personally).

I could buy an X-Maxx tomorrow, but even prior to all this patent BS, I always preferred the challenge of leccy conversions or trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear, and the X-Maxx has always been far too capable to fit into this latter category...   I still really like the Slash 4x4 as a general do-it-all basher, and the TRX4 for being so capable in so many different areas, but as alluded to above, I will now never have the opportunity to sample their goodness as I just don't 'do' bullies.

Forward is at 100% and reverse is at 50%, but still massively faster than forwards.

Yeah I know the motor can be adjusted, I just screwed it up last time and don't want a repeat!

Try putting the 1080 to full power in reverse as well and retry the speeds
It's possible you need to swap the motor leads and that reverse on the 1080 just now is being used to power the motor forwards (hence the slower speed)

I sent you a message on FB and i have some rebuildable motors here so if you need a hand adjusting the motor i can do a quick video and show you how to do it with no risk.

I dont see any trolls. Agree with others tho what a woman I can honestly say my 3yr old girl knows more about rc and parts than my mrs thanks to tower hobbies sending me catalogue after catalogue.

We have to respect how they feel, we own the oil rich falklens and they hate it. This was rubbing it in more so the top gear men are the only stnuc i see. We might need to fight again for that patch and top gear has woken more argry men. We need the falklands otherwise we have no claim on antartic im told so we wont give it up especially with brits on falklands.

One of the proudest things the argintines had during that war was not a single woman reported being raped. All the people living ther was treated well by the invaders they shown total respect during the invasion. Stick it on the rc shelf as a trophie in its own right. We only need a tiny excuse to hoard anything rc or could use for rc items lol. But sounds like that motor truly deserves a spot on the shelf. 

I had a trinity revo exhaust and it was the best I used out of 7 pipes. Only matched by a clone version i got later. Only exhaust I've seen with variable stinger on nitro.

I think bajas have something end bleed tho if that's the same thing.

RCButcher, yup, totally correct. Infact, the "hoarding" symptoms we RCers display, are the only reason why I still have a few of my less-favoured RC models. But, yes, that motor deserves a place on display. All of the trophies in that photograph were won by that motor.

I think they got the profile of the tyres wrong, they look a bit too tall which makes it look narrow

Accidents happen, don't be soft lol... I know what you mean but still enjoy BTCC... Although my favourite thing to watch is stock cars, especially at the local track where our friends race, now that's a sport where you need balls.

It's the refuelling, compulsory pit stopping bit that ruins it for me. Along with artificially restrictive rules, which the big teams can afford to circumvent ( cheating....if you get caught ). That and the fact that the season always seems to have one dominant car package, with the others getting the scraps.

They have made it a tactical sport, with what happens on the track counting for a lot less.

Still...there is a LOT more motorsport on telly now than there ever used to, so I can watch the rally stuff, the one make stuff and the bike racing and give the F1 a miss. For that...I am thankful!

Must admit, since F1 turned into a battle of money, not driving ability or skill, I've been watching more BTCC and Rallycross.

Haha no, think about it. The film came out in 1977, which means it was filmed in 1975 & 1976. A 1977 helmet was released as film-standard collectible merchandise, not actually used during filming. Inside the helmet simply says "20th Century Fox©"
