  1. Can anyone recommend a good brushed motor (35t, or similar) to run in my Gmade Komodo on 3s?

I've got a Yeah Racing Hackmoto V2, which is a lovely motor, but it's rotation-direction is wrong for this truck and goes much faster in reverse. I need one that is either non-biased, or biased towards turning clockwise from the pinion-end.

    Thanks!

Ahh, hang on! I might be beyond my motor limit!

Unless the 5 slot motor limit is also a bit different? As in the motor limit for the ESC is 16t on 3s, but for the 5 slot it's only the equivalent of 16t on 3s?

Just seen this there. You're no where near the motors limit on that ESC.
I ran it with a 12t 3 slot 550 sized motor on 3s and it still didn't even get warm
I've run it with an 11t 5 slot 540 as well and never an issue.
I reckon if geared correctly it will easily run any brushed motor.

I've tried a lot of 5 slot motors and i still prefer the 3 slot. The 5 slot has better slow speed resolution however it has less torque so under high load you need to give them so much power that b y the time they overcome the reistance they lunge over stuff.

Have you ensured forward / reverse power on the 1080 are both at 100%?
IIRC reverse is set at 75% power out the box.
If both are at 100% calibrate the ESC.

If the motor is still faster in one direction you can still 100% sort it free by adjusting the timing on the motor.
