  1. What's people opinions on the best battery power tool range? They all offer a one battery fits all however I'm not sure what ecosystem is best for the long run? This is for at home doing odd jobs however I'd rather buy something decent as no doubt il need other stuff going forward to it would be cheaper in the long run just to have one battery to fit all.

Dewalt or Milwaukee. Just touch one of the Makita stack boxes and that will put yoy off using their tools for life. Ive never felt such cheapness.

And would you believe that the best combi drill I've ever owned develops a fault!? It's the big 36 Volt Bosch, brushed percussion drill. Just started cutting out, re-insert battery and it's OK for a few seconds.

Opened it up and there's a small red cable that feeds the brain part that clearly hadn't been soldered properly. Re-soldered it, popped a battery on and she's golden.

      Expected better from Bosch!

Ordered a newer model though, because I always have two of pretty much everything.

And they're releasing an even better version in the coming months, so I'll have no choice but to get one. Because.

For perspective, my current 36 Volt brushed is 100nm (Newton metres), the newer 18 Volt brushless is 110nm, but the new version of the 18 Volt brushless will be 150nm. That's a lot of torque!

They also do brushed versions in the 18 Volt line-up, perhaps I need one of those too?
