  2. Hello are the ones to get. Had them on every car for the past 10 years. Perfect fit and make sure you use the "V" clips. They will never move.
  3. Lower the lipo cut off. Hw each are renowned for being a little eager on the cut off when under power. If you have an alternative way of checking crave on the cells when it cuts out use it to see where it trips. It will most probably be the dip in voltage I definitely acceleration that trips the lvc. An led lipo checker is pennies but worth its weight. Unusually set my he lvc to 3.0v and it sits about right after about 5 mins rest. The lipo checkers are only a few quid on eBay so grab one. Run your ex until the lvc kicks in and check voltage straight away then after 5 mins rest. Lower accordinlg until you have about 3.4v after resting.
  4. Soo, how do you go about repo-ing a 25ft caravan.lol.

    150+ esc

Hi guys. As per title. Looking for a good condtion esc over and above 150a. What ya got? Jay.
  8. I am using a 100w for 8awg.
  9. I had a deal from a mate, bit you need the chassis kit. Rcmart was the cheapest at 35 i think. Panels are just pvc covered in carbon wrap i already had. Other than the shocks, it's a bolt up.
  10. Always loved ed the look of the GMade R1 but would never pay the money. 99% of the scout parts were a straight swap to the chassis. Due to the scout links being longer than the R1 it needed longer shocks, I just so happened to have a set of 130mm cheapo shocks deep on my box, took some T maxx springs and stretched them to my desired length. The gearbox bolted up differently so had to redrill to fit and it's snug... Really snug between the side plates. The axle mount battery tray is from an FTX Mauler and holds my 6000mah 2s quite nicely while providing the front weight. I made a plate for it from a little 90deg aluminium. It crawls brilliantly and o have to remake my course in the garden to make it more challenging.
  11. That unmistakable smell when you plug your lipo in backwards. Oh well, ordered a hw1080 instead.

  16. Well... After 30 years of working on cars and 16 years in the same garage, tomorrow I hand in my notice. The motor trade takes its toll on your body and to be honest the prospect of more and more electric vehicles coming to the fore, I am done. Adiós amigo. Me and me spanners are through. ?

Yes I do RM. It was a pull I got to admit, and I wouldn't mind betting there may be a lump or 2 as my mouth is saying those words.

I have already had and offer of driving. Basically collecting and dropping off end of lease vehicles. Make my own diary start and finish when i like, as long as the cars a delivered that's all that matters. Oh... And an extra 4k p/a.

Brand new truck, phone, tablet, fuel card and I.D card already in the making.

  17. Ooooo. I got a set of proline rock rage I bought s/h and never been able to use. Have you got any links please dude?
  18. An hour at most with a garage. The biggest issue is getting out the small pin that holds it in. If you look straight down the back of the gearbox from the top you will see a black plug on the top off the diff. Soak the crap out of it with wd40, this goes a long way in getting it out. The pin is easiest removed from underneath with a pair of mole grips, gently twisting it and teasing it out. If it snaps the pooh gets very deep. Poss gearbox out. I have yet to fail using this method. ?
  19. A surprising amount of electrics are dependent on the Speedo drive. Such as the AVC in the stereo. Common to go wrong. The 1.6 is the most common. Bugger to get to but no too expensive.
  20. More than likely the magnets of the motor. They create a backlash between the spur and pinion. All of which is totally normal. If you need assurance, slack the motor screws and move the mesh away. You should find everything runs smoothly.
  21. More than likely the Speedo drive itself. Changed hundreds of them. What size engine is it and how old ? They are a pig to change if 1.6 or 1.8 . They are a magnetic pick up from the diff and they break down.
  22. If it's the rustler you want, you could buy the xl5 and sell the motor / esc and buy yourself a hobbywing combo 3000kv -3500kv and you will have your brushless rusty.
