  1. So, the servo arrived and first impressions were really good, looks incredibly close to the Injora servo but this servo has a full size horn spline same as the stock servo. delivered, Opened it all up, as you would expect, a selection of plastic horns, mounting rubbers, screws etc. in hand the servo feels like its been made properly with a really good finish. same goes for the mount and horn, just like the Injora servo, this has its own servo mount, i tried the servo in a Yeah racing mount and it doesnt fit. the only real gripe at this stage (not sure how good its pictured) but the splines on the out put aren’t fully machined, the servo horn is a little tight going on but still fits. also had to laugh, the alloy servo horn has been countersunk but they supply you with a button head screw, not a massive issue as its m3 so most folk should have something that would work. And a comparison pic with the Yeah racing servo mount, So its all fitted, centred up and tested, i can only do a bench test at the moment but up to yet im very impressed for the money, its silky smooth and really quiet in operation and seems to have a decent amount of power. If i manage to get a break in the weather and the course is dry enough, ill give it a “real world” test. I have now ordered the same brand but blue plastic case rated at 7kg but comes with a green alloy servo mount and horn all for £11.61 posted. at these kind of prices i dont mind the gamble, if the servo is crap then i still have a mount and horn which would cost more if bought as stand alone items. thanks for looking, Gaz.
  2. Hi, this is all left over from my course, there is some big heavy bits here. Our local garden centre is selling bits of similar size at £10 each!! so that in mind, ill ask £60 collected. I can deliver within a 25 mile radius (will definitely need help unloading though) that would be £100 delivered. I also have a full wheel barrow of smaller rocks, some about fist sized and slightly bigger if interested. to give some idea of size, the square paving slab is 450mm x 450mm. thanks for looking, Gaz.
  3. There is a black one that goes to my daughters school, nice looking car, love the reverse lights down in the middle. is this the first electric car then mate?? any mods coming up for it too??
  4. Bump. prices lowered. how does £30 posted for all 3 esc’s sound? Then all 5 bec’s for £40 posted. wheels/tyres £50 posted (inc. weights)
  5. I do hope they “evo” some other kits too….. regarding the price of it, well this is my two penneth, if you are one of the Tamiya fans in it for the nostalgia etc. then i would have thought the original would be the way to go and at almost half the price, buy two, shelf one and use the other. or if you want a 2wd buggy that drives better, as @ad456m has said, the Kyosho would run rings around it, ive not search but i would have thought there would be a fair few tasty buggies out there that would do the job so much better. but hey, its all down to personal preference, if they did this to a lunchbox, it would be hard to convince myself that i don’t need one….
  6. Does anyone remember the “Teddy bear” alloy wheels made by Ronal??

i have a set of plastic ones to suit the Tamiya M class tyres, all four are mint too.

how much does anyone think they are worth?? I’ve only ever seen 2 sets in the time ive been into rc, the set i have and the other set the guy whom i got them from.

    any help welcomed, thank you.

not had chance to do any research on them…

  7. Wow that has grown!! we have some near here, Clumber park. But since ive been a kid they haven’t grown anything like that!! unless of course that is a very small lady…….
  8. Sound job, i will give them a visit. Thanks mate

thank you guys and gals :good:

  10. I’m thinking about it too, just need to know if a Chromebook would be suitable as its the closet we have to a pc, my niece’s fella was showing me some of the stuff he has done. i wouldn’t do it to sell stuff but as said be more for little bits and bobs for us only, although printing some bodyshells to suit the Trx4m would be a big bonus…..
  11. Bump. C’mon guys, i don’t bite…..fire some offers over, could do with this lot going so bargains can be had!!! Cheers
  12. Woo hoo, expected date for stock is 17th September, might be able to get a couple of hours in before it gets too cold outside. meanwhile, flicking through the thousands of listings on eBay, i found this servo and popped it in my watchlist, so this morning (from China) i got a offer come through, made it too good a price to resist, so pulled the trigger and it will be on its journey soon. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/276638620592?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=EtPaMiMgTTS&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=pMPmbDCMTvi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Not really heard of the brand before but it does look like the Injora servo, comes with servo mount and horn too, works out to be a 1/3 of the cost of the set-up in my Defender. this will take (according to the bumpf) 8.4v to obtain full kg rating. anyone tried one?? Or know of the brand??
  13. Hi, few more bits to let go, to help the Trx4m addiction lol. prices are never set in stone, always willing to trade too, (micro rc & stuffs) all postage’s will require a signature upon delivery and PayPal fees inc. Rc4wd pro ten 1.9” wheels and Rc4wd Mickey Thompson Baja Claws tyres (suitable for class 1 competition) had these from new, fitted to the orange D90 i have, been a excellent combo, the tyres just come under the size for class 1 at comps. tyres have use as can be seen but theres no holes/rips etc. and still have loads of life in them. i would advise on some new foams though, they were “modded” to accept all the wheel weights. these are very heavy wheels as it stands, kept my orange D90 the right way up but i can also remove them should you wish and save on postage too. looking for £55 all in with the wheels weighted or £50 all in without. Next is a selection of bec’s for 1/10th scale crawlers etc. the first is a new in packet Castle Creations 10 amp bec, set to factory settings. (I can no longer access a pc to use the Castle link with) the other 2 bec’s are used but in full working order, i can tidy the wiring so its more stock or leave the connectors as is, these have both been set at 6v output for higher output servos. the last two i bought new but never used them, just a bit bulkier than the Castle offerings, all good if you have the room though. All 3 Castle creations Bec’s have no SOLD!! looking for, £11 for both bigger bec’s all in. Traxxas xl5 hv esc’s x2, both in excellent order and perfect for a basher, one has had the mounting tabs removed but doesnt alter performance in any way (fits into Tamiya chassis with ease). Ec3 connectors fitted and 3.5mm gold connectors on the motor wires. looking for £14 each all in. Hobbywing 1060 esc, new and unused just had a connector fitted ready to go, comes boxed with manual. looking for £14 all in. 2x mini servos, both new (were no good for the project i had in mind) and unused. There is a Hitec mighty mini and the other (can’t remember the brand) has metal gears. looking for £12.50 for the pair, all in. thats all for now, thanks for taking the time to look Gaz.
  14. We always clean ours with the hosepipe, gets rid of most of it, then let it sit to dry off overnight near the radiator. once dried brush the rest off and give it a coat of gt85 wiping off the excess, rc will look like new again. thats for us personally, you would have to check just how waterproof the electrics are beforehand, dread to think how many hours id spent cleaning them after use, now i just wipe off the dust as they sit there unused lmao…. But the method we use now is the quickest way and gives us the best results.

    fishing

@Stormbringer, nice selection of reels, looks like they are proper quality items its funny, my old man used to go sea fishing out of Whitby with a group he used to work with, he brought loads home every time too, since then he tried fishing off one of the cliffs in Newquay, all he caught was a £80 parking ticket, he was in a foul mood all evening and still doesn't like it being brought back up He sees the rc hobby as an absolute waste of money, that's why he has never bought me one…..he likes playing with wood, he has made some good stuff over the years but his specialty is a 4 legged milking stool, he has sold tons of those. It’s all good though its what keeps the old ball spinning

    fishing

Fair do’s to you guys, good that you can eat what you catch too. Me personally, that would bore me to tears sat fishing, never seen any appeal to it other than the film Jaws. is fishing for you guys as addictive as rc??
  17. I have just had a great 3 page catch-up, dont tend to come into here too much now, some builds still get my attention though. WOW!!! That is mighty impressive mate, not only smashing it with rocks but now with wood too, if i had a cap i would doth it for you!! ive read the replies from the guys, cant add much to be fair, its already been said! great work mate, always like to see the progress you make. now, are you sure you dont have a free parking space on the drive?? I promise not to snore…..
  18. Perfect for some late night running mate i actually thought it was a number plate to begin with looks the part on or off!!
  19. At that price point a combined esc/rx should have never even been considered!!! That a very poor show, the gearbox looks like it came from a scx10. some really nice touches on the other hand, metal gears, nice links, hub nuts and it does look the part, no good to me though, retired from the 1/10th scale a while back.
  20. Managed to get the Ir60 shell about done, not got any pics but will put some up asap. Mirrors are a bit of a pain to get fitted but being rubber should be much better than crunching them off thanks for the shock info mate, i have some spare injora shocks ill try that on. Forgotten how long ago i ordered my combo…….still no signs.
  21. Bump. about time to bump it up, still looking for stuff guys, Traxxas/Injora/T-real/Meus etc upgrades left over or simply dont need anymore. Alloy wheels/tyres (not black as i nearly all my wheels are black and preferably 60mm or smaller tyres please) thanks.
  22. Looking forward to seeing the updates on your course mate im thinking something like 58mm tyres on 1” rims and have it low slung. could you elaborate on your shock mod to get it sitting like that please?? No rush though mate, whenevers fine.
  23. Yeah, there is always some questionable parts used on most rc that look too fragile and of course a lot is down to personal tastes but id definitely expect more than 1 batteries worth!!!
  24. Bugger me @steephill, you do know how to get my envy stirred mate…… im thinking those wheels on the silver Ir40, they suit it really well, so should be ok for the Ir60 Yota.
