  1. rustler 4x4 sounds kool, got a 2wd old model one on a 6000kv motor (thinking of toning it down too a 4000kv) and hyper 7 shocks on the back, it is absolutely mental im really enjoying the corally triton brushed one on 2s but needs a few wee tweaks like the servo safer mod i seen earlier etc also it is only 2wd.
  2. hehe our gardens turning into a mud pit
  3. i built a durga and ended up given it to dad, the belt drive system was pretty high maintenance on it and the ball diff if i recall, that was with the optional slipper clutch as well, it is a solid buggy though and handles very well on the brushless 3250 kv motor but just too high maintenance for me.
  4. thanks got them fitted on it now
  5. ah cheers , it really does seem awesome for the price
  6. nice one, looks good ripping about and nice wee track
  7. nice truck i bet that total rips like the rusty look on the shell too
  8. i took a punt on one of these for 135 quid https://www.modelsport.co.uk/corally-triton-sp-2wd-monster-truck-1-10-brushed-rtr/rc-car-products/444076 just wondering it any one else has one and know's of any bits that would benefit from a upgrade, overall first impression is that it is pretty well built and so far seems to be a solid little truck that likes to wheely and over specced for the money. changed the front shock oil to some tamiya soft oil i had kicking around and tightend the servo safer a tad, it handles better now after initially handling like a bath tub lol and had a go with it in a muddy garden with rain going on earlier, got it doing doughnuts and stuff on the wet mud. dad and i are pretty impressed with it considering the money spent and it has had some hard impacts with nothing breaking, also got a 12 turn 550 motor kicking about that came with my bandit xl-5, guess ill use that when the stock 15 turn 550 motor goes kaput
  9. cheers, they have been digging holes in the garden
  10. i still don't have an ebay account but stormbringer/dad just bought me the green nuts mentioned above now if his grass hopper would stop trying to hump mine, happy days 😛
  11. liking the orange and painted wheels dad
  12. awesome looking trucks
  13. thanks it is getting plenty of use and runs forever on a 5000 mah nimh
  14. got my made of cheese ftx surge buggy running again, upgraded the suspension arm braces to alloy and the front hub carriers are alloy as well now, hopefully it will be a bit less fragile now just wondering what will break next time lol. it goes really really well and is nuts in the garden untill bits break .
  15. thinking nandas, massive blocky tyres that do not wear down easy, got road ones on my hyper 7 but i also have the big blocky bad lands ones sitting about and got a set on my ishima rave
  16. nice hypers guys im thinking of getting the rtr leccy one and leaving my hyper 7 black as nitro
  17. hehe aye the garden has large stones and some areas have fish tank gravel lol they are brilliant fun, especially when 2 are going about at same time
  18. dang they would do the job, pity it's ebay i dont have an account there and im too drunk to make one lol back when i was in early primary school my dad had the grass hopper and a much older kid had the gold tub rc 10 we used to hang out and do mental (tame by todays standards) stuff with them, later i got the rc10 but i threw it out after getting my first nitro..................... my biggest regret since years later they rere the gold tub lmao it was super awesome fun having 2 grasshoppers bounce about the stones in the garden and some banter going especially when dads one needed a push from my one to get un snagged
  19. been out the loop by quite a few years for rc cars and dad and i are getting back into them. years ago my dad sold an original grasshopper to some one that put a strong 540 in it and trashed it, that poor wee hopper wasn't hopping anymore 😛 now a few day's ago dad and i just both got grasshopper rerelease kits, due to almost every thing we have been too powerful for a garden covered in stones and gravel etc and the fact were on lockdown dang that little 380 motor and bouncy pogosticks are super awesome fun and even better with 2 of them bouncing about all stock apart from fully ball raced im gonna leave mine stock i reckon. dad has his in fluorescent orange and on the wheels. any one know where to get green nuts? theres a sledge hammer s50 a savage a bandit etc but the grass hopper is just as much fun
  20. thats not all, i ordered batteries from their uk warehouse and they took it upon them selves to send them from another one, got stung for customs 27 quid as well and one of the batteries was faulty, their support channels are full of lying pricks, i cut my losses and will never order a thing from them again as that was my first order. just look at the online reviews for their support when you receive a faulty item......
  21. put the stock esc and motor back in it then sell it and buy a brushed firestorm or rustler and put your brushless in it
  22. just remember a 2s lipo will have the same punch as a 8.4 volt nimh battery oops did not notice it was an old thread lol whitehart i do not see any reason why that would not fit, just remember you might have to change pinion gears, the one on the end of the motor so that it doesn't overheat etc, saying that i whacked a brushless system in my bandit and kept the stock gearing, it wheelies like a champ lol
