These companies could supply direct to the UK if there was a market and if they chose. The US companies are using a European distributor, and the UK is slapping a chunk of tax on top. Which they have always done as VAT.

Black Friday itself is just an excuse to try and get people to buy. Modelsport effectively discount all year round, and I suspect the margins are not there to discount further without making a loss.

I got the Beyerdynamic DT880's as I wanted semi open backed. 

The sound is not for everyone as it's quite neutral. A lot I looked at over-empghasize the bass to make them sound punchier...but I prefer to have a neutral sound so I can control the sound more precisely. Mine are 250Ohm, and they are great for most things.,..but if I use them on the PC for films or gaming, I need to use a headphone amplifier for volume as my soundcard is at it;s limit to drive them.
Build quality is good...and you can get replacement parts for pads etc. no problem.

You think that's bad.... try buying a larger commercial vehicle. You want a new 18T truck? sure....waiting time 12 months. For the chassis/cab. You still got to get a body built.

Just managed to pick up two ex lease jobs for £30k a piece....and I could flip them tomorrow for £40k. Decent used vehicles are hard to find. Especially when a commercial wagon like that will cost you £8k for a full service and DPF swap if its come with no history.

cracked screen is an MOT fail if hte crack is in the wrong area.

A lot of policies include windscreen cover, but not all....so its worth checking the details when you are comparing quotes.  Plus, of course...cracks always get longer until they reach another edge
