johninderby 2,727 Posted February 1, 2018 (edited) £509.00 so not that badly priced for the basic kit. The actuator kit though is £335.00. Out 2nd. Gaz! 3,720 Posted February 1, 2018 Great to see something other than tractor units. £500 odd is a really good price when you think how detailed and well thought out they are. i bet with a bit of head scratching it would be fairly easy to get it to tip for a lot less than the Tamiya offering. im still waiting for a new shape Volvo kit (like the rc4wd Dakar truck). johninderby 2,727 Posted February 1, 2018 Maybe this would be a good starting point for the actuator. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lifting-Mech-Dump-Truck-Trailer-Bed-Tipper-Lift-Tamiya-RC-1-14-King-Grand-Hauler-/132418135945 Quote Share this comment
mond 1,163 Posted February 1, 2018 You'll be able to get it far cheaper from Banzai hobby. Fusion always seems to sell at the full RRP. Quote Share this comment

johninderby 2,727 Posted February 3, 2018 Now all we need is a Tamiya excavator to load it. John Quote Share this comment

atom3624 1,362 Posted February 3, 2018 The price is .... OUCH!! Totally agreed that the quality and detailing are superb. I suppose if you start comparing it to RC4WD renditions, it's a relative bargain, but that's another thing. Al. Quote Share this comment

Should keep me busy for a while lol, I’ve been reading through the manual and it’s a bit daunting even after building Tamiya tanks in the past, but I like a challenge Quote Share this comment
Gaz! 3,720 Posted June 28, 2018 The only bit that could cause you a bit of grief would be the 3 speed box (not sure it’s fitted on the tipper) but definitely a enjoyable build. any thoughts on colours yet mate? Quote Share this comment
.AJ. 18,079 Posted June 28, 2018 Yea it’s got the 3 speed box, I’ll bare that in mind and take a bit more care when building the gearbox. I’ve not really thought about the colour yet, but the box art colour looks awesome tho Quote Share this comment
