    To be announced at Nuremberg - Tamiya Audi Quattro Rally

    They did one years ago, it was pretty dire

    I suspect it's going to be similar, or even the same as the Carson body

    Although a rerelease of the original would be great.

    That reminds me of a "Lancia Martini" rally R/c car I had when I was maybe 12 or 13 years old back in the early 1990's. Not my picture below but it was the same car and you can see the chassis looks the same or at least similar to the one you posted...

    I bought it used from a jumble sale but never got it working and in the end I think I sold it at a jumble sale myself.

    Wish I'd have kept it now (along with tons of other R/c things I've sold. ?

    The Lancia, Audi and the Opel Ascona were all similar looking - very out of scale and more 'monster buggy' than rally car.

    The latest release of the Lancia was a lot more accurate

    Yes exactly.

    The Lancia I had adorned a shelf in my bedroom just above my Tamiya Madcap for a long time but I never spent anytime on getting it fixed up and running. Thought about it years later after I'd sold it but at the time didn't even realise it too was a Tamiya. Just too young to notice the details of it I guess.

    TT-02 Chassis, so shouldn't be too expensive;

    I think I'd have preferred one more like the original, better over rougher terrain, and... it just brings back so many memories!!!  From memory it was a Frog chassis?
