I wonder if the plastics still have the consistency of dark chocolate.  & does anyone know if spares'll be available?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't 1/5 scale considerably bigger than an X-Maxx and $799 considerably cheaper than an X-Maxx?

Also, stupid American date system... 8/1/2018 was 8 months ago!

Talks the talk...but does it walk the walk.

Interesting to compare to the XMaxx, because that was flawed from the start.

I thought the Rampage had a large following, are they that bad?

The X-Maxx is roughly 9 kilos all in, how much will this weigh? If this is true 1/5, it'll weigh far more.

Suspension arms and shock towers don't look beefy enough to be 1/5 scale, chassis will need serious bracing if you are going to jump it.

Redcat are popular in the US but I've only seen a handful of people in the UK with them. I always wanted to see one of the 4WD Bajas they did.

Not sure I like the look of this though ?

Surely it would be cheaper to just raid the parts bin for stock items rather than new parts?

Didnt HPI/Maverick re brand some Redcat stuff? All three of these models could re launch HPI to its former glory if done correctly imo.

I'm probably giving Ripmax too much to do here however!

Externally, body on, I think it looks great.  Agree though, not a lot of beef in certain critical areas.  Would make a great shelf queen...

I need to start buying lottery tickets.

A tower to tower brace might be needed, but other than that, the layout looks superb.

I really like the idea too redcat has been around long enough to make decent kit. If popular in usa must be something. If rpm and others provide for it could be awesome. Im defo intrested. But will be £700 here no doubt. But atleast redcat will export the good prices.

Redcat shocked me with trail truck tires. A guy on YouTube made steep incline and tested mayb 6 sets of tires. Axial, rc4wd, ottsix and redcat std tire. I forgot which tire but can easily find the video i think. The super swampers made it up around 30-40% up coming last. Axials abit better i think. The ottsix cruised up but stopped at the top spinning front wheel on the edge.

The redcats just drove up and off the edge lol. Shocked me.

Why make a promotional video of your new truck demonstrating that it's not very well balanced for jumping? Bonus points for a good looking design though.

Ramp is too short for the length of wheelbase, the front axle has left the ramp before the rear hits it, so the back end gets kicked skyward.

That's my view, interested in other opinions.

You know, it's funny actually, when I watched this I thought it was user uploaded at first and had to double check the channel....

Editing is pap.....whoever was the camera man / editor needs more training ?

I wouldn't mind but it's not like they haven't got the gear to go film it properly....

For a promotional video, this is lacking.....

Agreed, very poor quality. Why show so much footage of a failed jump? Yes, it proved it can take a tumble, but doesn't help sales! Three to four minutes of hard bashing with just the odd spill thrown in would be far more promotional.

The truck itself actually looks pretty good. Moving the drive line so the batteries can site like that isn't a bad plan.

Yeah, I'm loving the look of this, but not really supported over here, unless I'm misinformed?

Lamest video I have seen for some time.....

Filmed so you have no idea of speed, and just shot in the street outside some blokes house. flat ramp jump over a kerb. Amateur YouTube kids mostly do better, and they are not slapping an 'official' logo on the start. I would be ashamed to post that for me....let alone for a business.

shows nothing, raw footage, poorly done.

Hope they put more effort into the truck.....
