    Hobao teaser

    HoBao Scale Truck Teaser

    HOBAO TEASES NEW OFF-ROAD TRUCK

HoBao was a big name during the nitro revolution that occurred in our hobby about a decade ago. In recent years, HoBao is perhaps best known for their DC-1 scale rock crawler. However, Hobao is now teasing a new Off-Road Truck that definitely has some scale look to it. The latest teaser from HoBao shows off what looks to be a monster truck with scale accents, but we’ll have to wait a few days to find out exactly what lies behind the teaser image

don't think there are any (yet) but it's smaller then Cen Reeper so if you check comparison between Cen and X-maxx on YT it should give you some perspective

Kinda knew it wasn't a direct competitor, but I'm hopeful someone will step up to the plate.

The CEN offering is good, but has little availability or support over here.

Werner can be relied upon - he's been a really helpful guy in the MTe community.  I'm still not at all sold on this myself.

Yes and he absolutely beats everything into submission, so if he hasnt broken it, its probably pretty strong,  cant wait to see a full running video from him. :P

Yeah, the wheelbase on the shell is tack,  But wont matter after a few bad landings. 😁

Cen reeper body could fit but not sure about front/rear bumper distance from the chassis, might need slight modification

No point going above 500k, even if you lock it those tires would balloon, foam is soft and tires as well...

and that means you have one on order? 😀

no, they wont be half as bad at the front if you locked it, you can clearly see its power bleed by the way its wheelieing.

The body is like that to probably make sure it doesn't get cracked on hard tail landings :D

I wonder what other bodies would fit that would at least look a little less cack

A lot of the websites have the dimensions converted wrong...

Looks like no one reads through it before C&Ping it.

    Modelsport, Wheelspin and CML

I'd be pretty furious if it turned up and wasn't 275 inches long.  🤣

    Quote

    Length : 700mm / 275.6 inches ( included Wheelie Bar )

    Width : 510mm / 200.8 inches

    Height : 280mm / 110.2 inches

[EDIT] looks like it was mentioned a while go on here too.
