Nothing beats a good old Chinese made no name car with good marketing and a well known name attached to it.

There are slight differences that i can tell.

    Minor though.

    Things like this:

    ftx5495b-11.jpg

On the original FS Racing/Reely Atom:

    atom_6s_95kmh_extreme_speed_18_rtr_rc_de

Servo/Receiverbox is slightly different and horizontal instead of vertically mounted servo.

Other than that: yeah. It's the same vehicle. Same price too, which makes this somewhat okay - means (probably) better part support. The truck itself does look interesting mind, and £350 for a 6s is quite a bargain.

edit: that said, Reely can't really complain about having their car copied or something. Coughcough. Freeman.

I bet that will be great on large dirt or field area. Wouldn't want to send it too much though or it will probably end up bending, but of course it's not made for that being a desert buggy.

    Unlike other 6s or 8s vehicles. :P:D

Got to admit, We can be a bit stuckup around here sometimes, As an FS Racing buggy, No way, But as an FTX,  Nice ,We'll  have a look, Put it this way, Would Modelsport have ever sold the same car as NitroTek and under the FS Racing brand.

I have multiple HK vehicles, i don't mind chinastuff. Hobbywing is hobbywing, in the end.

I do get what you mean though, and no, MSUK would've probably not.

This one is at least advertised as the HW system. Now, it's banggood, i understand that - but it also does look like a HW system, second picture from the bottom on the page, branded as Reely.

Wouldn't put my hand in the fire for that though.

edit: ah nevermind, that one's advertised as a dessert. Cake or something.

I'm a sucker for these desert truck models!

Seems on the high side for FTX though.

Really quite liked  the look of this, until i saw the price lol.

Surprising. For me it was the opposite around, wasn't that interested until i saw the price. I mean.. What exactly did you expect for a hobbywing combo in a 6s capable truck? It's £100 cheaper than the Kraton, made from the same material.

The only reason i'm a bit meh about it is the spares availability.

Didn’t notice the Hobbywing kit, i retract my previous comment 😂😂

    :P

Just had it run by my wife, turns out if i do eyeball this, i'll sleep in the garage with my RCs.

    Fair enough then.

It's probably the closest thing to the exo I've seen (apart from the HBX ratchet pictured below)

but it just doesn't quite do it for me.

There's something about it's low slung body that really makes me love it

The Exo does indeed look good mind, i know what you mean.

Closest might be the Hobbytech DB8 in terms of stance (not shape though).

from memory it’s on fs that has a similar model the atom which has a slightly different layout, none of the others have anything the same.

Agreed though they probably all use the same plastic compounds and a lot share the same parts, can be handy getting cheap parts and upgrades mind 👍

A lot of these companies have exactly the same part numbers for the A-Arms, steering knuckles, motor mount (etc) when you look at the exploded diagrams.

CML have one in a damaged box for £320...  not much saving over MS £350 retail.  Had it been south of £300 it'd be on the way to me by now.  I love the look - Associated's Nomad was high on my list (as was the new metric version of the Losi - the original is in my top 5 RC's owned of all time) - though the FTX is the weakest of the contenders visually.  The Nomad highest and had some pretty reasonable price drops recently

Yep i saw that one on end of line but not much of a saving. Nomad was £399 last I checked with a 10% off coupon on eBay so for £50 more you get a much better quality truck which was what put me off this . Agreed the losi is a beast but not the same size really regret selling mine oh well you live and learn 🥴
