Got up early this morning @ 4am as I couldn't sleep with this back pain and was bored so set about dismantling my Hyper ST completely and replaced all the screw, bolts and nuts with the correct ones in stainless steel, whilst I was at it I washed all the parts off diff housings, wishbones, steering knuckles ect..... on rebuilding I replaced all the wheel and Diff bearings one's that came out where the one's the last owner put in so didn't know how long they have been there. I'm now completely cream crackered5 points

Why not just get a cheap bike to get you to work. That way the extra money you'll be earning wont be going on the thing you bought to get you to work to earn extra money4 points

alot of you seem to have missed the point aswell, this isn't aimed at the pro tuners or the racers. its aimed at the people who need it, the noobs, the ones who haven't yet learned which way to turn to lean the engine. it will also be good for people with bad eye sight that struggle to know how far 1/8th of a turn is1 point

If you multiply the kv by the volts you'll get the rpm of the motor. Assuming you're running 2s packs the 3300kv can will give you 24,420 rpm and the 2950kv will give 21,830 rpm. I don't know how that relates to top speed but it's a fair difference. Threadlock.1 point

I think some of the comments are misunderstanding how the tool is supposed to be used. It's not to show which way to turn to adjust the mixture, but to show you precisely how much you have actually turned the screw. It makes it blindingly obvious exactly where an 1/8th of a turn is, removing a bit of guesswork.1 point

That should be set up properly anyway .... but ... The idea's a gud'un. I always used to increase the idle in the way suggested until I'd made a couple of passes, then I'd return to normal / default. Al.1 point

The stronger the spring, the better the ability of the clutch to retain the friction surfaces away from the clutch bell. The weaker the spring(s), the sooner the shoe(s) will start 'grabbing'. They rely on centrifugal / lack-of-centripetal force. Faster the engine revs, the harder the shoe(s) fly out, contacting the bell. This was one of my options yesterday. I mentioned the idle did NOT seem to be too high, perhaps only a little. If you reduce the idle too low, then it will start stalling, which is a pain in the bum! Don't you love nitro? !! Trust me, when you get it right you will both enjoy it, and appreciate it more as YOU GOT IT RIGHT. HappyDays.com Al.1 point

I had a Picco powered 2.5 ..... and I got to agree with Atom. Great design...but it just never seemed to be 'right'. Suspension setup took a while as there are lots of options. Reverse was OK but I never used it. Throttle linkage was always fussy and it was just a combination of well designed parts put together with no thought as to the whole.1 point

The 3 ladders or two are ok to use on out wards opening hatch . better when like your cause you can use a hook on a pole to pull ladder to slide to 1st ladder section or just have a rope to pull to get it if you get the idea? Just look at size of ladder is width the ladder length too a lot use the 3 section so you can sit ladder at required lean . The 1st two sections will lock into each slider the 3rd will not so can adjust how you want it to sit if not much area on floor etc.1 point

Yes it will drift. at the mo its running a 50/50 shunt, the center pullys and belt drive 1:1 ratio you need a 1.1.5 ratio mod. this means the internal ratio is giving 1 to the front end but the rear is overdriven at 1.5, it is this setting that lets the car act like a drift car and countersteer. every full rotation on the front rims, the rear rims turn 1.5 times to get this you swap out the center pullys to adjust the front/rear drive ratio the one thing that governs the chassis is its turning angle of around 35 degree, you want around 40-48 degree, the more the front wheels turn the more control you gain in a slide, the adverse turning degree allows hookup and steering, this means you can throw the car into the drift, catch it and hold the power and tweek the steering to keep the drift flowing through the corner without loosing to much speed1 point

Not yet. Let me put it this way.... We actually just got the speedline wheels in stock at one of the major US distributors last week. How long have they been available from MSUK? A month or more? The US supply chain just seems to be way behind and it makes me sad...1 point

Went darford heath today. Sure is a bashers hotspot. Dad and his son in one area bashing and 3 lads in the open area nearest the gravel car park bashing. Non of which know anything about this forum. Weather was dodgy today with spots of rain. Got some good air over the glory bumps. Ripped up a tyre and busted a shock so a good days bashing. Would go here again knowing others were going to turn up. Very dusty stoney surface.1 point
