  3. Hi Pharrel, The Switchblade is directly compatible with 2S LiPo, without the need for a regulator. Are your symptoms (Servos glitching) the same with / without the engine running? It may sound strange but sometimes these interference issues can be caused by a bad plug that no longer surpress interference, or even a bad fit on the plug cap. One way or another we'll get you sorted fella, Just let me know and I'll get a replacement out to you if required

  4. I did put these on the gallery when I first joined and was told they might be better posted in the "Vintage" area but I figured here was a good spot. Excuse the poor photos (instamatic) The green/yellow is a late 80's project that just kept evolving, the Pumpkin was early 2000.

  7. Had some fun with the Hyper ST Pro this weekend. No breakages, its a flying, backflipping tank Started off with the intention to make a decent video, then the battery decided to go on my fone so i just propped it up and filmed. Thought i would see how many flips in a row i could do.

  17. to turn the scout into a scaler you will need 1st of to make some chassis rails,,then re-locate all the donor parts's from the scout,,,,,OR you could try looking around for another chassis on the cheap it would be tidier and less effort that way.

  18. If you get the measurements I'm sure mr-m (Keith) on the baja forum could knock up some spacers for your rose joints, his work is top notch and his prices are very reasonable!

  19. Trails riding buddy, mountain passes , wooded trails and likes. Do Not use the internet, this is advice from a an Ex bike mech ( used to build both trail/bmx and race ) go into plenty of shops not to buy but look at products, do not be scared to ask to sit on a bike handle it. You cannot do this on the interweb, but being able to size up a bike to your body size and leg length is key. next, Gears, forget electronics fancy gubbins, you want straight gearing ( not twist shift) thumbshifter is ideal, trail riding if your kind of new your going to grip those bars like your superman, that means you can accidental shift. Shocks or not , a alloy bike without shocks will weigh less than the same bike with shocks. there is a pro and con, yeah smoother ride on the rough, but added weight, try different setup bikes, HardTails ( no shocks ) and softtails ( shocks on rear - front ) HAT yeah your gonna look a right nugget in the mirror, but in a crash its life or death, who cares what you look like what does matter is your head is protected. i used to ride around in a chrome openface hat, when i was younger i had a full face bmx race hat, Gloves are good idea summer and winter, nearlly lost the end of my finger when i crashed into a friend, his brake leaver had broke and the end severed the tip of my finger nearly off. dont you choose the bike, let the bike choose you, when you ride the right one it just feels right and thats the one you look at buying. also do not be afraid to ask for discount if you buy a few items. some places can give a few % some 15%

  20. Without hearing or seeing it im going to take an educated guess that its rich on the bottom end. When it cuts out is this while its ticking over or when the revs are higher? What is the tickover like? is it solid? if you leave it to tick over does it eventually get slower and start to 'burble' and then die? Does it only die when hot? has the engine been run in nicely? if run in have you changed the plug? When it is running does it sound like its well tuned? or do you think that there is still some more tuning to be had? If you could post a video up that would give us all a better idea of whats going on. Yoshimoto

  27. The wider A arms and shafts first made an appearance on the 2.5r Maxx truck. I was hungry to get my hands on them as I installed the Picco 21 into my 2.5 and it made a right mess of the shafts. It wasnt produced for long before Traxxas played a little with the 3.3. They made a short chassis version of the 3.3 ( not for long ) which was the 4909 before lengthening out to the current longer chassis.

  33. Best oil out there for me is Castrol XR77. It's been discontinued, but can still be found in places. I've swapped to A747 as a result. Suply seems to be better. 25:1 for both. The important thing to know is whether your chosen oil is mineral based ( castor ) or synthetic...or if it's a mix of oils and semi-synthetic. Do NOT mix synthetic and mineral based oils, as you can end up with a gooey mess when the additives react. Buy a high-quality low ash oil, and be prepared to spend a bit of extra cash on a good oil, as the quantities used are not huge...and the effect a poor oil has on your engine is! It's false economy, in my opinion, to run cheap scooter oils or oils designed for lawnmowers....

  35. Well I had a good start to the outdoor season yesterday. I qualified 1st, then we run 3 run finals, best 2 of the 3 to count. First final I finished 1st, second final I finished 1st and third final was looking good until a tyre popped clean off the rim so unfortunately had to retire that one. I have also taken on the role of race director this season, which was good fun once I got into it. Looking forward to the next round now

  36. Well spotted the Volvo did exceedingly well today, quiet and less smoke compared to others but it did all the things the judges wanted. Drifting certainly isnt for everyone, some dont see the point but then i also dont see the point as to why they enjoy downton abby lol
