  4. Right. I will tell you now exactly where I stand. Im not going to keep repeating it. So to whom it may concern please pay attention. From the very begining, enid has told us owner agreed for us to use the field as non profit. Also the field was previously used for paintballing that didnt boast well with neighbours. Aadozen members is more than enough. This project was never meant to go public and its been agreed unanimously as I recall. So no need whatsoever to revisit the idea just after 1 week of making a vote. Forget about national big bash meets. Thats just nonsense. There are houses everywhere surrounding the field. The chance of getting away with that is slim to none. I am definitely not putting my investment be it financial, physical, or emotional in jeopardy for that. If you and Neil think theres a good financial return on a similar venture then I wish you guys the best of luck in finding a suitable place and investing as much or as little of your own money on it. Im sure there will be enough members willing to buy your shares out if you so wish.If majority of the members here agree with your proposition yhen count me out. I will hand over the accounts imediately and do not want anything else to do with it. Am more than happy to go back to bathgate and set up a track with my poxy ropes.

  5. If we go public we will need public liability insurance I'm not forking out for that or legal cover, this wasn't my intention is you remember my first or second post. This is for the gang and something I had the ability and contacts to get started, just needed some assistance and folks who would appreciate it.

  9. People who never have, don't care. Yet complain if their car gets scratched lol, oh well, they shouldn't be parked there if I walk past with my niece or nenphew in a buggy and put a line down whatever happens to be parked there... Unlucky On a note of the actual topic...

  10. There is no definitive answer, as your driving style will determine run time. The bigger the mah of the pack, the longer it should run. The simple answer is, you can never have too many lipos

  14. Hi folks, a quick introduction from me. A few points I would like to raise & then I will be on my way.... Unfortunately I will not be commiting myself to this project. A closed door policy will not make this time, nor cost effective to me. I wish you guys every bit of luck going getting this off the ground though.

  17. It doesn't matter whether or not a retailer sells items, if they have no immediately available stock, which seems to be the case with tamco products. If it's your only rc, having it off the road waiting for parts is tedious, especially when said part on a better brand is immediately available. There are much better starter vehicles available

  20. Interesting, I didn't know Torsen made the spider diffs. Only bought 2 new and neither came in that packaging. That'll be a slight facepalm moment then!! Proper Torsen diffs do exist in RC, the hypers are just one model that uses them: http://www.rcmart.com/ofna-87326-torsen-differential-center-diff-hyper-p-9113.html That description is correct of a Torsen differential but not of a spider. Have been toying with getting Torsen's for mine but the real benefit is only gained on high traction surfaces like tarmac, not a lot of use on dirt from what I've read. At 70 quid a pop, it's quite an expensive experiment as it's best to marry a centre with a front.

  21. Ermmmmm Isnt it Torsen that make the diff ?? Cause you can get New Torsen spider diffs http://www.amain.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_25_1461_772/products_id/24324/n/OFNA-Center-Spider-Differential

  23. all these bargains, new toys and things, looks like this years summer bash is going to be fun, cars, planes, multi rotors and boats just need somewhere to be able to run them all. Horbury is only place I can think of at the moment that caters for them all.

  26. You could get something mildly hopped up for 400 but for what it's worth & the goodness the KM Baja's come with already I would get the KM002A from Rcmodelz If you can wait keep checking eBay a deal pops up every now & then.

  27. Diff out time, as you have ruled out all other moving parts in the drive train. Could be a failed bearing, could be something else entirely....get spannering, you don't have to entirely strip the back end out to remove the diff either

  30. Not to discredit what you've done but a lighter works better, as it 'pops' rather than blows the flames. An exhaust also spits flames when the revs are dying down, pretty sure it's burning any excess petrol and oil off after hard revving. A shell that tends to suit a big exhaust is a Skyline R33, it's not to everyones taste but they're easy to make viable Again not at all to discredit what you've done, just some advice/tips. This for example, you can see the difference, yours kind of blows the flame in a very speicifc direction, where as the kit on this will be more lighter based no doubt.

  31. Just keep at it mate I'm sure your be fine by august you been doing fine up till now think that's the key not to get disheartened with it as you loose interest, definitely helps encouraging each other on here though so keep it up. I struggled to shift weight for years but once I realised I wasn't going about it the best way and sorted my food intake out I managed to drop nearly 3 stone, had my work medical the other day and nurse nearly fell over when she compared to my notes from 2011. one thing I will say though is eating is key don't be tempted to eat less n less calories as your body will start working against you and go into fat storing state, if you are close to 17st I would say 1600 calories a day is far too low especially if your doing cardio as well, sounds silly but sometimes the more you eat the more you loose as long as the balance is right the food is clean and you keep your calories 200-300 under what you require to maintain you will loose. That app fitness pal is a god send as well when counting calories makes life so much easier, and if your counting you can still slip the odd treat in here and there to keep you sane.

  33. Tips?...mmm. Fuel- I prefer to use a different fuel for a new engine (compared to what I would usually use).....something with a lot of oil and not much nitro. Heat- Very important to heat a new/tight engine to relieve stress on the rod and crank/bearings...also worth mentioning to keep the engine warm whilst running as low rpm with a rich mixture will cool it....do not be frightened to put a sock/tin foil on it. BDC- or bottom dead centre refers to the position of the piston. Whenever the engine is not running then rotate the engine until the piston is out of the pinch area...it is easy to make a mark on the flywheel for reference...it does not need to be accurate but never leave the piston in the top part of the stroke. Feel- feel how tight the new engine is (plug out) and keep comparing it as you use it...also feel if the rod play is increasing alarmingly... Remember always be patient with a new engine...it may run like a dog and be a total pita for a gallon of fuel but sing like (insert a singer) for the other gallons.
