this was the one i had on my truggy before i change for the water proof one ...

would think about having aluminium steering arm as well(like the one on mine)

Has a very limited budget though that's the problem and Savox are double his budget. Otherwise I'd say the 1256 all day long. I'm actually using this power HD one and is in budget: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/power-hd-lf20-metal-geared-servo/rc-car-products/388829

No problems after 2 months use :)

Guys what's an ok upgrade for a steering servo on my trophy truggy, think the servo is on its way out was playing up the other day and read there not brilliant so didn't want it to give up whilst I'm out bashing.

It's a standard truggy my budget is around

i got this one...fantastic bit of kit..

did have another savox on my truggy but changed it for this as it is waterproof...

cause you have a truggy i would suggest somthing waterproof.

Like the idea of the waterproof one but need to be from model sport mate as got vouchers left over from Xmas from the Mrs so have to buy from there ideally.

I've just realized my one is at Modelsport and in budget buddy. Average speed but has the torque No probs so far after 2 months :)

Looks good mate, not that I know a lot about servos but price looks good, it's between these two so far then

Unless modelsport stock the waterproof one as well?

Had an outing with mine today and managed to bend the front center drive shaft in the first 5 mins....quick stripdown and repair cave man style with a couple of rocks lol not bad for field surgery but I'll get it better with the old hammer and dolly tomorrow :-)

These things need a better front chassis brace. That poxy rod type thingy just doesn't cut the mustard :)

One of the trophy buggy versions has a has a proper brace ('ve got one on my gt)

I got a purple one with the better alu rear one for just over a tenner from ebay, though this is the cheapest one on there just now

Hey Allan. Any chance you could let us know the distance between the fitting hole for the brace in front of the center diff to the nearest fitting hole to it of the front diff. If you catch my drift.

Will know if it fits the Flux then.

I'm confident the brace will fit the Flux even though it's not listed as an option.

Distance from center mount hole to distance of nearest front diff hole on the chassis:

Flux 105mm

Nitro 100mm

Distance on top steering brace mounting hole to top diff mount hole:

Flux 23mm

Nitro 28mm

The distance adds up to 82mm on both.

Both vehicles use the same front anti bending rod of the same length so technically should fit either car.

Didn't even get to read the message before you answered it lol

While I've got you here, don't suppose you got any ls cv drive shafts in yet?

So I took the truggy out yesterday on the asphalt and I noticed on high speeds the front wheels wobble pretty seriously to where I almost loose control. Is this caused by the tires ballooning or because there's a little play in the wheel when I move it by hand? I assume it's one of those two things causing it. I also don't know how to stop the play in the wheels from happening

Haha. I'm trying to put a shim behind the wheel nut since there's a lot of play back there but I don't have a shim large enough

Try putting a diff shim behind the actual bearing to push it out a little. You'll never really get rid of the play there. A lot of play in the steering as well that I can't get rid of even with bearings instead of bushings.

Niceone, what gearing are you running? I'm curious to know what mine does but about to use my mobile for the job. I'm running standard ?t spur and a 17t pinion...
