Hobbywing Xerun BL 1/8th speedos

Hobbywing have released their new and improved Xerun 1/8th scale brushless speed controllers. Available in 80A and 150A, the former is perfect for buggy and truggy use, while the latter is mainly used for monster trucks that need power on demand as well as 1/5th scale Baja conversions. Both run the new 608 software for lower rpm torque and both come with an LCD programmer box.

Is it an aluminium casing or shiny plastic?

Not liking how close the bullet connectors are to the casing, they could easily short out if bent slightly... The origional MMM was having this problem on it's heatsink causing them to kaboom.

When you get them, they come with leads that are soldered into those holes and shrinkwrapped, so no shorts.

i was thinking the same. you could always put heat shrink around it i guess.

the 150 amp Esc and the Novak HV 4.5 turn, would rip.

It wouldn't cog either as its sersored

Novak Hv aren't that good, the cheapo Xl motors from hobbyking are probably better :/

A decent unsensored setup won't cog.

These are out since January, so this is really old news. I have the Xerun 150A 2000KV combo in my Losi 8T 2.0, haven't run it much yet, but I've read lots of good things about it.

Really good ESC's in my oppinion too.
