well?

Lol, well the only person I know with a 156 V6 is a complete ****¹. Wouldn't want the same car as him as he'd only act smug about it lol.

Also not really that much a fan of the 156 or the 147. Maybe the Brera but thats a little outta my price range, Plus the Alfa brand still isn't quite up to scratch on manufacturirng. the Spider has on average 97 faults per 100 made. Doesn't sound good to me

It all depends how much you have to spend on the car and on insurance.

Id get a quote through Adrian Flux as my mates 20 and a fully comp quote for his R33 GTS-T was £850, no other company would touch him.

As for a car, you can get a decent skyline for about £4-5k, my other mates selling an R33 GTS-T for £9000 if youre interested. Either that or get a cupra.

Basically if you get a subaru or an audi or a golf or some other crap then nobody will look twice at your car as theyre common as muck but get yerself a skyline with a decent alarm system and youll not only be faster than pretty much everyone else, but youll look better than everyone else too

My friend got an R32 GTS-T for just under £4k and its wicked fast and great condition. The engines are really robust and parts are easy to get online. It was a 1994 model and sweet as ****² :)

Aye get an evo if you want a car that drives itself....NO FUN!!!

lol

They do look good but are crap to drive compared to the skyline. Seriously, get a skyline and **** all over the boy racers.

1994 should make it an r33 gtst with the rb25 engne, not a 32 that came with an rb20

i agree btw, skylines kick ass for allround awesomeness, fast cheap, reliable until you start heavy tuning, parts can be got cheap, but dont be fooled into thinking they are cheap to run, fuel bills will cripple most people in an everyday car, tuning is expensive in the extreme(builds to 600hp or over run into 30k easily) and they need regular proper maintenance to keep them sweet, you can spend lots on rear tyres very easily

they arent for everyone but by god are they good

It IS the RB20 R32 GTS-T so must not be a '94.

He gets about 30ish MPG which is not bad. His is probably putting out about 280Bhp which isnt too high but is still pretty good. Its not heavilly modded but has de-cat, T3 (i think) Hybrid turbo, Nismo induction kit, FMIC, kakimoto can and a few other bits and bobs. Hes getting it re-chipped soon and a few other things. Its a really nice looking car, its white which looks quite cool, ill see if ive got a pic anywhere.

Its not that hard to get an rb25 up to about 400bhp, but any more than that and youre talking serious engine mods and serious cash.

could be a real late registered one i suppose, the r32 is lighter than the 33 and its 2.0 gets you better economy than the fatass 33,i wish i could get 30mpg in mine at anything other than staying exactly at 70 on the motorway

To be honest I do really like the older Jap drifters. I was pretty tempted to get an old Skyline but always imagined they would not be very economical.

I might have to have a look into these. Would be pretty cool to have summit a bit different

Aye the RX-7 is amazing the way its classed as 1.3!!!!

I used to have an older s13 200sx. Was really quick and ****²hot around the skid pan at crail but the one i had was a bit of a rust bucket lol engine was great but the bodywork was shagged which is the case for a lot of them. Its a shame really because the 200sx' are great stepping stones on the way to skyline stardom haha

my brothers got a 200sx s14

not many mods

coilover kit

intercooler

reprogramable ecu

boost controller

full 3.5" exhaust from the manifold de cat obv

hit 300bhp

it can be a really nice driveable car and it can be a real handfull and use ALOT of petrol

he can quite easily use 100 quid of petrol in a week just going to work about 5 miles round trip

and then local driving at the weekend

totally depends on how you drive

just keep a look out for a decent one his is morealess a minter barr some laquer peeling on it no rust at all

worst problem is keeping them servced if ur not mechanically minded

you have to be real careful with 200 and 180sxs there are thousands of moneypits around,im importing jap sports and drift cars and nice ones are hard to find

I guess it's like hunting for any other car really. You have to be careful it's not had the tits thrashed off it and make sure it's been maintained properly. My Car has had a service every 5,000 miles atm. Doesn't cost me anything apart from oil, oil&fuel filter and Spark plugs every 10,000 miles as the GF's dad does it for me.

I think I'll probaby go for Summit Japanese. A garage in the next town over specialises in Imports.

its gotta be the golf gti mate!!

1. 200 bhp in a car that can actually handle it - unlike the ridiculous vxrs.....TORQUE STEER TO THE MAX!

2. it's german - so will keep going until your knees are too frail to drive

3. in my opinion, they look the best by far - suttle, but awesome...

4. it's a golf. a golf! the history! the nostalgia!!!

5. you don't look like a chav, you look like someone who enjoys driving.

6. many many reviews have all said the same thing - it may have less bhp than some cars, it may cost a bit more than some cars, and it may not be as 'wild' as the other hot hatches on the market...but it's just the best overall drive by far.

i dream of owning one some day...don't be sillly and get a vauxhall :)
