    cars!

hey mate, like i said with the policy that i'm on i don't get any no-claims bonus next year (presuming i don't crash!!!), that is one of the reasons it's so cheap! people like direct line make it look like they're giving you a great deal by letting named drivers build up no-claim bonuses but they charge more for their insurance anyway!! i am with more than by the way, 'that's lucky'
  8. lol i'm trying to get him to buy hpi baja because *ahem* 'he' *ahem* will enjoy it....

okay well i'm gonna try and give you some advice, but it depends alot on your situation... i passed last november and i'm 17 just for reference. 1. go with your parents insurance company and get your parents to ring, online quotes are sooooo innaccurate!!! 2. i am going to uni this year so am not bothered about getting my own car, as it will just rust EVEN more while i'm away, so i share my mum's car. if you do this don't get your own policy, just be a named driver (some insurance companies give you a no-claims bonus even if you're only a named driver, some don't). Mine don't give me a no-claims, but again i'm off to uni soon and when i finish i will be 21 and get a much cheaper insurance quote anyway - so no biggy?? okay like i say, sorry if this advice can't help you in any way because it's all dependant on what people want and what their situation is, but good luck anyhooo! I have managed to get insured on my mum's 53' plate volkswagen passat estate, with a 2.0 litre 135 bhp engine, for 1 year for.........
  11. lol i don't know why, but dad's just cannot drive rc cars, i think driving a real car for 30 odd years means they can't adjust to the controls as well as us younguns can...bless em!!!! but we still let them have a go, because it's what sons do....lol (pretty much all the damage caused to my firestorm has been caused by my dad...) gotta love em!!!
  12. well said happylad - i typed a similar post to this yesterday but the moderators removed it and sent me a pm telling me that personal attacks are not allowed on this forum... utter rubbish, my post was not an attack on hyperhuggy, whereas this whole topic seems to me to be a personal attack on everyone who can't quite write as well as hyperhuggy...
  13. alot of time and effort got into that mate, but it was soooo worth it... that is a beautiful rc car!
