  2. Hi guy's. Im selling my savage xs. I don't want to sell it but I want to try my hand at flying planes. Its had loads of hop-ups and comes with 3 body shells, 2 battery's and loads of other spares. please take a look http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111146257674?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 It's been bashed hard but always repaired with love and care. and happy and thanks for looking

  5. Im using a 7.4v 4000Mah 20c and a 11.1v 5000Mah 30c battery's (not at the same time obviously) Yes I do wind the slipper clutch up as tight as I can get it. The problem then is taking teeth of idler gears so I replaced it with the hardened integy 1 that's on ebay then its back to blowing esc's Im using a hobbywing esc at the mo and when it gets to hot it stops working so I have to leave the truck for 5mins to cool down and then its good to go again. Its a drag having to stop but I only use the truck for bashing so I have a smoke wile im waiting and away it goes again. I think i'll get a 60c lipo and give that a go cheers

  8. since I fitted my stampede wheels and tyres ive had loads of trouble. Smashing centre drive gears and slipper clutches, esc's and over heating. I've fitted a 24 tooth pinion gear and a 60 tooth idler gear and its running amuch better but the esc, motor and ecletric cables are still getting hot and its cogging at slow speed. . I've put a video on youtube so you can see the cogging at 1.26sec please take a look an let me no what you think

  14. Driving slowly Its like the gears jam then free then jam again. At speed its fine though the wires from the esc to the motor do get worm
  15. I've got a savage xs that I've fitted traxxas stampede wheels to. The es's has been blowing and the centre diff is eating slipper clutches. I was told to drop the pinion gear to a 24 tooth from the standard 28 so I have. But I forgot that I would need the 60 tooth idler gear else the motor wont line up on the centre diff plate. I have a spare centre diff so ive drilled, grinded, hammerd and banged the old plate to fit the motor so it lines up the motor and the gears. I haven't replaced it in the truck but have ran it out the truck and it spins the drive shaft cups nice. I've ordered the 60 tooth idler gear and will fit in in the spare diff when I receive it. How do you think the truck will run with a 24tooth pinion gear and a 56 tooth pinion gear with the larger wheels?? I'll try and post a video of how it goes on my youtube channel with out any sound track so you guy's can hear it.
