Yeah, set it up before starting the engine

You need to take off the air filter on the engine, and check the gap in the opening of the carb. It should be around 1mm to give you a nice idle. First check that your radio gear and servos are set right, if it closes when you apply the brake then you need to adjust the trim or adjust the linkage, if it doesn't close to 1mm with the brake on, then you will need to adjust the idle screw on the carb until it is about 1mm

I've been reading up on these OrangeRX receivers and it seems to be a common fault on them. Going to pop into town tomorrow and get a capacitor and see if that cures it. If not I'll replace it!

I've not tried a power cap yet. I'll try another receiver tomorrow, if that's the same I'll look at a power cap. If that doesn't work I'll have to try a better Rx I guess, and hope that fixes it!

Thanks, I'll double check the end points, although I am pretty sure I had it set to that it was just away from full reach of the carb so that it didn't try to bend anything.

I've recently bought a DX3R plus four 'ORX 3 channel ground' receivers. I've got it all fitted into my Revo 3.3 and it works great. Brand new battery pack in the Rx, fully charged plus healthy batteries in the Tx showing 4.9 volts. Yesterday I took my Revo out to a local field for a bash, getting it re-tuned etc, about 10 minutes in I noticed I was getting some throttle and steering lag, then it lost communication all together. I switched off the Rx and back on, it connected back up straight away and was fine, until a few minutes later I went WOT then it lost it again, it didn't even go into failsafe mode, thankfully the throttle return spring allowed it to coast to a stop. I decided to call it a day at that point, thinking the Rx battery much have been low. So charged Rx battery up this morning and went out again this afternoon, exactly the same issue. If I stick at around 30-50% throttle and cruise round it will be pefectly fine. It seems as soon as I hit WOT it just loses it. I'm going to try another receiver next, but any suggestions? I don't like the idea of my Revo running away at WOT that's for sure!

I'd just find somewhere else to go, it's not worth the aggro.

Just thought I'd share this.. I've had my Condor Pro since I was 13 (now 22), and I do have a big soft spot for it, even though it is the cheapest of the cheap it's done me well! So it's been sat in my shed for about 4 years now, I don't even think I put ARO in it after I used it last. So pulled out the glow plug, a few drops of ARO and it started to loosen up a bit. Put the one way bearing in the wrong way round on my Revo engine last night.. I've been away from RC for a long time! Done plenty of silly things in the past I'm sure, I don't remember now though.

It would be nice if we got free next day shipping or something at least.

I was tempted by one of these a while ago, but it's an extra thing to carry. It always starts on the first pull anyway! My Revo has that EZ Start thing, which is very well put together and compact for what it is, so I like that!

I've had my Condor Pro for 9 years now, I got it for my 13th birthday! No, it's nothing like as good as my Revo 3.3, BUT, it cost like a third of what the Revo did. I've broken a few things on it, upgraded a couple of bits, but the parts are dirt cheap. And I sometimes enjoy it more than my Revo as I don't really care too much if I smash up the condor so I give it more stick! (My first post since 2010, I need to get back into this )
