Hi there, im looking to buy an electric drift car but I don’t know what to start off with lol, I’ve had no previous experience of model cars at all and there’s so many to choose from I don’t know where to start. Im not looking to spend a lot my budget would be £150ish max, im looking for a car that has been used by many other drifters so they can give me advice, a car that replacement parts can be easily sourced, availability for tune ups. I’ve looked through forums and I’ve heard the word “TT-01” mentioned quite a lot, is this car a good start???

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

I’ve been one the model sport website and I have came across these 2 model cars –

http://modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=Show...w=BiggerPicture

http://modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=Show...w=BiggerPicture

Both are one a TT-01 chassis, which one would be worth my money and the car would be purely for drifting???

What upgrades would I need to carry out if i want to make the car faster, smoother, more efficient and handle better?

My m8 had a TT-01 and said it was a gr8 1st car. Get the bearings with it if it doesn't come with any cos the bushes won't last long with a fast motor! I had a look on the Modelsport UK website and found a few drift cars. I know the HB Cyclone S cars are supposed 2 be good but have had no personal experience with them. However the Cyclone doesn't come with electronics.

If you may go on to race it in the future then I'd save up for a bit and get the Cyclone. I don't know about hop-ups for the Cyclone but as I said it is apparently a brill car as it is.

These cars are 1:10th cars but if ur not bothered about size then have a look at the HPI Micro RS4 Drift. If you get the RTR version it comes with a D-Box, which is woth £85, and it works out cheaper than if you get the kit and buy all the electronics. It's £160 RTR on Helger

I have no experience with any of these cars myself so cannot recommend any of them more than any others.

HPI Micro RS4 Drift [Helger]: http://www.mirageracing.com/searchresults/...ro+RS4+Drift+/1,

Hope this helps.
