Yes. Oil filled shocks, metal drive shafts and brushless

That does not sound normal. Generally the lights start flashing when the battery is low and mines starts to cut off when the battery is low

Looking for abit of advice. I do Airsoft and now have an RC car. For my Airsoft stuffI have a standard charger for my lipo. It doesn't balance, just a big standard charger but I am looking for spend around £40-50 for a charger which can do my airsoft stuff and my RC batteries. I would need something which can balance both Li-Ion and LiPo Any recommendations?

They look good. Where did you get them from?
-
Anyone done any body modifications to their shell? Extra lights, underglow etc!
-
Having emailed them, they have confirmed that it will stay red until it's charged and then turn off! Thank you
-
Also I have started to charge the battery and the manual says to plug in and I should see a solid Green LED and a solid Green LED, but all I get is a solid red LED (no green LED at all). If I disconnect the battery then there is no red LED. If the battery is fully charged, the red and green LEDs should be solid. am I missing something?

I have this same issue, did you ever get to the bottom of it?
-
Also I'm also vary if a stone goes into the motor, I'm guessing it would be ok to put some mesh around the exposed part of the motor?
-
Got my car and excited to get it all charged up, before I take it for a proper run is there anything I should loctite first?

Hello all So I am really thinking about getting one and as this would be my first I am thinking of getting a brush motor version on modelsport rather than the Pro on Banggood. Other reason for that is I want to tinker, mod and upgrade, so by buying the pro I would rob myself of learning this. Besides from upgrading the shocks is it worth upgrading anything else? I am thinking is it worth ordering metal driveshafts etc? Also what is the biggest non lipo batter I can for into this? As I'd like 2 batteries, one that comes with the car and a larger one. Finally let's see some of yours, I need the inspiration!

Hello all Just wanted to really jump on and ask for some advice really. I would like to get into RC, I've had a look and as much as I want to get into it I want to start off with a budget model, play with it, break it, upgrade it. Just to get into the swing of things before I delve deeper. I was toying with the idea of the Maverick brand but the truggy I'd like is £200 for itself and I don't want to spend that money just yet So I've looked and came across the FTX which seems to tick all the boxes As far as I can see there arent really any common issues on them and parts do seems readily available, I think they are a clone of another RC brand HBX? Just really wanted to ask; are their any common problems? It seems like the brushless version is not available, well from what I can see, so how would the brush motor handle a lipo? Besides from upgrading to oil shocks are there any other mods worth doing? And finally I am so torn between the truggy and the MT. So I would love to see some pictures of what you guys have to help! Thank you

Got a question to ask you guys; basically I've had my R/C car since November 2007, I built it up and have never actually ran it because I got busy and lost interest. Now I want to actually finish it off and get it running again. The problem is when I turn on the rc car and the controller nothing happens. I know previously when I did connect up the battery, the servo's would make a noise, but now nothing. The charger indicates the the battery is fully charged and the batteries in the controller and full charged aswell Any ideas?

I’ve been one the model sport website and I have came across these 2 model cars – http://modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=Show...w=BiggerPicture http://modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=Show...w=BiggerPicture Both are one a TT-01 chassis, which one would be worth my money and the car would be purely for drifting??? What upgrades would I need to carry out if i want to make the car faster, smoother, more efficient and handle better?

Hi there, im looking to buy an electric drift car but I don’t know what to start off with lol, I’ve had no previous experience of model cars at all and there’s so many to choose from I don’t know where to start. Im not looking to spend a lot my budget would be £150ish max, im looking for a car that has been used by many other drifters so they can give me advice, a car that replacement parts can be easily sourced, availability for tune ups. I’ve looked through forums and I’ve heard the word “TT-01” mentioned quite a lot, is this car a good start??? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for replying James, I just have another question you said the higher the mah, the longer the run time. After looking at the link you posted this battery pack caught my eye http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/7-2v-NiMH-4300mAh-Re...dZViewItem#nogo It has a higher mah than the FTX and is cheaper, but would it fit?? And the yokomo active LED light Unit set, to fit these would I need to drill into the shell?? -

anybody what to help a newbie???? -
Hello there, Heres my story I currently own a nitro powered off road buggy and I am very keen to get into R/C drifting. I have looked at the modelsport website and I’m interested in buying this particular model - http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=...mp;ItemID=26025 Just wondering is this a good start for a beginner? Anybody else bought this and what’s the pro's and cons of this model? I also want to upgrade the battery so I have more play time, after emailing modelsport they sent me these 3 options - http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=...mp;ItemID=20640 http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=...mp;ItemID=24370 http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=...mp;ItemID=24791 Which one of these would be the better option? Or is it the case the more expensive it is the longer the play time. I also want to buy both the yokomo under car neon set and the yokomo active LED light Unit Set (V 2.0), are these easy to fit or should I get my local model shop to fit these? Thanks
