Thunder tiger ts4n starts then stalls after about 2-4 seconds

Hey I’m new to nitro cars I normally only run electric cars but I’ve recently brought a thunder tiger ts4n second hand, it had a few issues that I fixed but now when I try start it it starts then shuts off after about 2-4 seconds of it being on, does anyone know what could cause this and what could fix it? I don’t know much about tuning these things all I know is what the high speed needle and low speed needle do

Are needle settings close to factory? Always best to know where you are starting to tune from. Could be too rich or dodgy glow plug or carb idle gao too small. Rule of thumb is to be able to get it idling then tune HSN first, then adjust LSN and idle. You can always adjust the throttle trim to increase idle rpm.

Yeah they are factory settings, no matter what I put them both as the car does the same thing it only starts after a while of priming the engine or blowing fuel into the carb then cuts out after a few seconds no matter what the needles are set at

Welcome to the world of buying used, inheriting someone elses problems. Have you tried a new glow plug? Is the fuel tank lid seal good? Pressure pipe connected to tank from exhaust? Has the fuel line got bubbles in near the carb when it cuts out?  Just lean the LSN 1/2 turn with 1mm idle gap. Maybe air leak around carb or backplate, or just a knackered piston/sleeve. How much pinch does the piston sleeve when turning over with glow plug out?

Yes it does have bubbles in the fuel like by the carb and the fuel lid is shut tight I will try a new glow plug tomorrow

try a new glow plug see if it works if it doesnt you could try renewing all the fuel tubing as it may have a pinhole in it somewhere or loose on the nipples but renew it all
