Battery question (FTX Outback Mini).

Good afternoon,

May I ask any FTX Outback Mini Ranger owners (2.0 and 3.0) if the stock battery connector is the same on both models please? Looking at purchasing a second battery for my 3.0.

Best regards, Jon.

Hi,

this is the 2.0 lipo,

And the 3.0 version,

Both have the same battery connector but the obvious thing is that 1 is a 1s 3.7v and the other is a 2s 7.4v. I certainly wouldn’t risk using a 2s lipo in 1s rated electrics.

i have modded a few of these various micro crawlers to use proper hobby grade electrics.

hope this helps and give me a shout if there’s anything else i can help with :good:

Thank you both Gentlemen for your input and advice, I agree that the manufactured system is best used within the parameters of design so it has only ever been a back-up 1s power source on the cards.

Your comments are most appreciated.

Best regards, Jon.
