Hi all im newish to tc cars but have had rc planes in the past.

Im a total newb intonthe world of rc cars and currently have a cheap basher xlf X03 which i enjoy breaking. Im after exploring racing at a local club to me in southampton and dont know wether to go offroad vs indoor oval stock type racing.

In terms of budget i have a few hundred pounds spare per month to play eith but dont have the mega money that some racing costs into the thousands.

What would you suggest, stock 1300? Something similar where cost are kept reasonable?

Anyone a member of any southampton, hampshire based clubs you can recommend.

Nice to meet you all and thanks for advice in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum

Why not pop along to the track and see what folks are using and you never know you may be able to pick something up there

Like Stormbringer suggested go to your local track see what surfaces they have and what classes they have eg 1/10 1/8 1/5.

Speak to racers get some advice on what they run is it a limited class open class ect some places only allow a certain turn/kv motor or nothing above a certain battery.

Once you check you also need to join the brca which allows you to race at any track and fund for track cost if racing locally or racing all over uk
