Hi Guys,

As a former RC enthousiast, I got back into RC because of my 8 year old son being a petrolhead from birth vroom vrooom where his first words.

After having had several RC from mainly Tamiya, grasshopper, Nitro Subaru 4x4 and a Hotshot, I lost track with the hobby because of...yeh life's ways i'd say.

I am Dutch, and got to know my wife on a turbulent vacation in Wales.. in 2010, not saying anything more than that ;-). So I moved to Wales in 2012, and we had a lovely..petrolhead boy at the end of 2014.

He wanted a RC... rest is only history. Thats my milestone where things went "wrong" lol.

My Son helped building his own Tamiya Lunchbox, while daddy sprayed the hood and put some fancy led's in. Hes a happy chap..

Personally I like more the mechanical things about RC's than driving them... but thats maybe a bit weird to tell :P.

That said.. lets spill the beans..  I've got most experience with Tamiya RC's, and wanted something more solid after breaking every damn part there is to break on my vintage Hotshot with...yeh, prob shouldnt even have tried... brushless setup...and lipo /blush.  What can I say, as a technical person you want to try things. So I did.  It never ever since touched ground .. only from standing to flying that is..  😛

What I own so far.. Tamiya vintage Grasshopper (retired) vintage Fast Attack Vehicle (retired), Tamiya Lunch box ReRe with tuned can and all upgrades done, Tamiya vintage Hotshot, rebuild several times, and upgraded suspension (yes, its like cursing in church i know) and added a Hobbywing brushless esc EZrun10 with a 3652 motor (4000kv). The last car I activly drive, or do I need to say fly low..

A while ago I purchased a FTX DR8.. wanted to know what the fuss was about.. 6s on a budget.. as I dont want to spend a fortune on a Arrma Xmaxx which my son is eyeing up since he saw it.

In short.. we were not disappointed.

Anyway, I am hoping to find experience and joy in reading and sharing/asking experiences in this forum.

Happy fixing and ofc driving chaps!
