Had a quick play and although not much finesse with regard to controls, looks OK and quite fun. Decided it needed some 'enhancement' so out came the tools Very simple inside, no fancy ESC or Savox servos!! autobutcher Posted October 7, 2022 Share Posted October 7, 2022 Had one like this a while ago with a 360 swinger, would come home from a day of driving real ones and sit in the garden with my mate digging cuttings and grading! I used blown pea gravel or Vermiculite as ground material as it’s very light, Vermiculite is like bean bag filling (it’s really used to fill chimneys and make fire bricks with) so very light so the machines can lift it but compacts well enough to make haul roads and cuttings with. seeing this got me thinking again😂 Looking forward to seeing what you do. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have always been a little confused about the Huina product range because some models seem to be very cheap toy grade products whereas others are actually quite expensive and well engineered. Drive them myself occasionally, spend most of my time creating and setting up the GPS machine control now. Like the idea of the pea gravel and vermiculite 🙂 I have the Huina backactor (metal) and used cat litter for digging and loading. Clean for the record!!! What scale is it supposed to be? Quality is OK.... Not the quality of the metal range Huina do but adequate for what I'm doing. I have seen a few mods to increase traction and make it push better, more of that to come.... So, I've fitted 4 bright white LEDs, 2 on the blade rams and 2 on the roof. 5mm LEDs, heat-shrink for the housing - needs another coat of black I had intended to use the light channel on the remote for the lights but struggled to get it to work well so opted for a switch on the back of the dozer.
