How to keep HPI 5sc Flux cool

I have recently had my 5sc super flux on 6s and the motor is getting awfully hot.

It's using a 13t pinion with standard everything for the electronics.

What's my best way of keeping it cool?

I can run a fan from the receiver or I have seen fans spliced into the battery cables like on aftermarket X-maxx fans.

I'm new to large scale and I dont know what would have enough effect.

Thank you.

You'll seize the motor, for sure. Take it from someone who knows.

Motor fans will help, but splicing into battery cables shouldn't be necessary. Most fans just plug into a spare Rx port, but you may need extensions due to the length of the vehicle.

Better option is a lower kv motor. This costs far more, but is far better. The 2200 is being pushed too hard in this set-up, it's screaming at high revs, whilst carrying a heavy load.

Another option is to only run 5S. I know this is slower, but it takes the load off of the motor and keeps it cooler.

Sidenote; these have non-standard gearboxes. They were geared very low for the wheel size, and are not standard Savvy gearboxes.

Hope that helps.
