Popular Post .AJ.
I’ve missed not having a largescale and having had a good few months at work I thought I better get another in time for summer 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve ordered all the electrics, but still need some decent spec lipos, so I better get back to work for a few hours to help pay for them 😂😂😂 Leopard 58113 v2 1050kv & BL5 Esc (Max5) combo and a Power HD WH80kg servo More pics and info to follow later this evening 👍

Kpowell911
Never knew these took a large scale servo? Interested to see what you do with it. Im kinda with you that ‘small scale’ dont really cut it anymore. Ive kept my 10th scale Maxx as itd cost a fortune to replicate should I regret selling it, but the rest have gone. Ive been looking at these, mainly because I want toown a 56xxx can motor…..
.AJ.
The EXB comes with 2 servo mounts so you have the option of a 1/6 or 1/5 sized servo, everyone complains about the 1/6 one in the rtr, so made sense just to stick a decent 1/5 in it 👍
.AJ.
Also in the box it has 2 motor mounts, one for a 47mm can and another for a 58mm. Theres also the option 39t spur gear so you gear a big 56mm can properly 👍 No pinion though
Stormbringer
Bummer on no pinion but what you going with pinion spur/gear ?
.AJ.
30/39, been told this is nice safe gearing to use without extra fans and should be good for 60mph
Stormbringer
60mph thats gonna have some momentum behind it Does it have a wheely bar or are you going to fit 1 ?

Ill have to try one at some point I think….. id have brought @mydoddy69 if I noticed it in time…. Also, great that works picked up @.AJ.
.AJ.
No wheelie bar in the box, but there a option one. I’ll only be using this on grass so I’ll just ride the wing 👍

.AJ.
I’ve had a 12s TLR 5ive B previously, so it has a lot to live up to 😂
.AJ.
Radical RC bash bar and M2C esc mount have arrived, I can’t see the chassis bending anytime soon with the bash bar fitted 😂
.AJ.
Swapped the spur gear for the smaller 39t one There’s not much else I can do till the electrics arrive now
Stormbringer
When are they due to arrive ?
.AJ.
The motor and esc should be here early next week and the servo had 15 days shipping, so hopefully in about a 7-10 days 👍
.AJ.
Just had a shipping update, the motor/esc are due on Tuesday, the servo has had a “airline handover problem” for the last few days 🤔
.AJ.
Looking at Google/Reddit it means the airline haven’t accepted the parcel because they have detected it has a magnet in it?! Wth

.AJ.
Not a 1/5 scale one though, it might not happen to every order, but obviously happens now and then going by the google/Reddit entries
Stormbringer
They may be concerned that the motor magnets could affect the navigation systems on the aircraft
.AJ.
Yeah that’s exactly why. I’ve never heard of it before though, funny that the big old 58113 motor will arrive without fuss…..
Stormbringer
Might depend on type or age of the plane or nav systems they have , some may be better shielded than others
.AJ.
Yeah more than likely, so now the build is in limbo until I know what’s going on 😑
