Do all BEC Receivers accept power through the Servo Channel 2 input?

I’ve just ordered a Tamiya ESC to use with an old Acoms AR-201 BEC receiver and notice that the ESC provides power to the receiver through the receivers servo input on channel 2 instead of the receivers battery input. Will all BEC receivers (including the Acoms AR-201) accept power through channel 2 or do I need to replace the receiver?

 No idea on the acoms, but all modern receivers share a common positive and ground, so it doesn’t matter what channel has the battery source

Thanks. That’s good to know. So can modern receivers accept power from any of the channel inputs?

Just tried a Tamiya TEU-105BK ESC with an Acoms AR-201 receiver and Hitec HP-2RND receiver and it works fine on either channel 1 or channel 2. Both take their power exclusively from the ESC without anything connected to their battery inputs.
