Nimh - Losi Mini B - Can 2/3a stick packs fit

As per title.

 

Is there enough room to run a 10cm long nimh 2/3a pack down the centre of the chassis?

Or will it fit width ways if the side plastic flange sections are trimmed down.

 

Or do square nimh 2/3a fit as used in the fix outback ranger crawler

I can check mine later but  would say it would be a struggle.  I have the brushed version which I assume has less space than the brushless due to mine having the separate ESC.

Oops just realised I have a Mini-T.   Not sure if they have a different chassis?

i dont have the mini t but generally the truggy chassis is longer than the buggy chassis.

As I suspected, I think you will be out of luck.  Width for a battery is only around 57mm and the square packs are definitely a bust.  With the stock electrics, I am not sure you could program out the LIPO cut either.

A few points:
That photo is a Mini T?

Same chassis width as a Mini B, for the area between motor and servo?

Definitely shorter length than a Mini B, but by how much?

I meant to add, I watched this youtube video, which isn't precise on dimensions.

 

It's clear the mini B chassis is longer, but I also think it's wider too.

Is there a specific reason you want to run these on NIMH?  Runtime on the supplied LIPO is surprisingly long considering the size.

Just generally anti lipo - mainly safety reasons.

 

Also when travelling and playing with children I prefer nimh.
