razz Posted February 9, 2021 Author Share Posted February 9, 2021 So my max8 is dead ...... the story goes , left off sharpish cos I got 5 inches of fresh snow in the back garden 👍🏻 Plugged in my zeeeeeeeee lipo and guess what , it cut out instantly , connections checked , voltages checked and it kept cutting out ..... and then as if by magic she worked , and worked great she did , right up until we had black smoke from the speedo . iForest Posted February 10, 2021 Share Posted February 10, 2021 For what it's worth, I received a brand new Zeee 2s 8000mah for a brushed Granite. I ran it yesterday and it kept cutting out in the long grass. On the road it was fine. Re-tested the scenario several times, same result. Put in the original battery and worked perfectly and consistently - Sending this back today. razz Posted February 12, 2021 Author Share Posted February 12, 2021 (edited) The new spektrum 150 ESC is here and fitted , tested to , she did a superb front flip and arse smacked the kerb perfectly , resulting in a bent shock mount . A couple of questions , the ESC has no LVC adjustment , what’s it set at ? locky Posted February 12, 2021 Share Posted February 12, 2021 more timing=more rpm=more heat=less efficiencyless timing=more torque=less heat=more efficiency you need to experiment as it really depends on what you want, quick acceleration or top speed, there is no recommended manufacturer timing value, a bit like pinion size. Hello tony , I had the white truggy fastrax wheels n tyres on at the time , slightly smaller than the backflip lp’s , lighter too , I used to much brake and over she went in the wrong direction . razz Posted February 13, 2021 Author Share Posted February 13, 2021 so this morning has given me by far the best two bashes yet . the new esc has transformed the truck , no cutting out , nothing , just 10-15mins of flat out fun . first run with the sunpadow lipo saw me blow a tyre, i noted the motor ran hot on 15 degrees timing , second run at a bigger area ( still at work ) using the zeee lipo , backflip lp`s and 7.5 timing gave me 10-15mins again , LVC is 3.6v , really pleased that she handled the cold so well . the motor ran cool yet had tons of power still , flat out flypasts with gravel flying and super sideways is great fun , now to strip her out and bent that rear tower straight , superb Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

razz Posted February 14, 2021 Author Share Posted February 14, 2021 Well the time has come , for the last year n a bit I had several 3s arrma vehicles , these were all stripped and I only had one working car , swb , lwb , 2s 3s 4s , 2.8mx badlands , backflips , grps , granite width , typhon width . Every week I’d enjoy a different toy . Soooooo I already have a V5 typhon chassis , got some typhon parts on the way , so this week she’s gonna change to a truggified typhon . Next up ....
