New HPI Jumpshot Flux and Maverick Quantum+. Thoughts?

Hiya!

Looking for a new truck to complement my Tamiyas.

The Arrma Granite V3 3S BLX  seems to be the popular, safe choice at the moment and I like the look of it.

However, a quick trawl through the Modelsport site has thrown up the new 2wd HPI Jumpshot Flux, available in MT and ST versions....

I'm wondering what you lot think about these new releases?

At £250 each they seem exceptional value.

Seems worth hanging on to get some real life reviews, but your opinions would be very much of interest.

Thanks in advance.

Well , after watching hours of YouTube vids I took your advice and now have an Arrma Big Rock and a 2s 6500mha Lipo!

It's brilliant.

All I've done is check the mesh and put some new oil in the shocks, but so, so impressed.

As a 51 year old with a Tamiya fetish, this is a whole new world.

It's built well, is easy to take apart and feels like someone has actually taken the time to sweat the details.

It feels like a quality, well balanced item - I can't find any real weaknesses apart from the boring colour.

I was worried that it wouldn't be as much as much fun as something I'd built myself, but it's just as much fun as my heavily modded Lunchbox, just different.

Delivered in 2 days by Modelsport.

Spot on.

Cheers.

Hiya!

Just a quick update.

The Arrma has been excellent.

Nothing has broken, although I have replaced the front shocks due to grinding the bottom eyelets down on kerbs. Idiot!

Apart from my stupidity, I'm not sure I can fault it.

It's  tough, fast, handles very well and is very versatile.

I was very surprised at the effort taken to make it easy to work on.

The power limiter on the controller is a nice touch and everything about it seems to have had serious thought put into it to make it pleasant to use.

I've bought another body, just because I find the black a bit boring, and some RPM arms just in case, but I don't think I'm ever going to need them.

Great, well balanced and idiot friendly product.

Stay safe and love to all.

Pete.
