Cowelly Posted September 16, 2020 Share Posted September 16, 2020 Hi guys, I've bought a Traxxas Slash 4x4, brushed. I have changed it to the Velineon Brushless system. I wanted to get the top speed out of it. So, i changed the pinion to the 19t one & added a 3s lipo battery. I've gotten 40mph out of it. But i've seen that i 'should' be getting 60+mph out of it. I'm quite new to the RC scene, but loving tinkering with the car. Any idea why i'm not hitting the higher speeds? Do i need more upgrades or do i need to give it a 'service' of some kind? I might take wheels off and check bearings are running freely. I bought the battery 2nd hand, I'm hoping it isn't that.
