Got some ordered, emailed the seller first, he  says they don’t advertise what the don’t have in stock  so all good. Cheers for the link Chris👍🏻

I've purchased from skmodels plenty of times, no problem at all.

Finally got a few bits done mainly in the steering department.  I ended up getting a new alloy steering mount as I had issues with the TG-10 ones, also had problems with clearance for the high torque servo saver it kept scraping, seems a very tight fitting steering set up, not much room for error lol but I enjoy modifying and getting a result. I ended up shimming some plastic of the servo saver now works great.  Only one side of the servo mount is alloy but better than nothing I guess.  Wheels and tyres also fitted.  Just need to fit the motor and turnbuckles, then decide on a new ESC possibly will use another Tble-02s as that was the original plan as struggling to get a man alloy motor mount didn’t want one that was too hot but worked with the current set up.  I have a bad habit of buying bits trying things out and getting it wrong it’s all good fun and means I have plenty spares for future projects lol.

That is part E2.

I've downloaded the manual and gone through it and don't seem to be able to find its fitting location.  Bare in mind it was the mitsubishi evo manual I downloaded. The part maybe used on different models.

Usually when a part is not used it's greyed out. In the mitsubishi manual it isn't.

That's all I can tell you on that I'm afraid.

I think the part is for the second servo and msc to mount to, otherwise I’m stumped, lol

pretty solid chassis though, I do like the escort cosworth, last of the decent fords anyway....

my vote goes with the ken block variant, never seen one of those done before.

keep up the good work and cracking build thread :good:

Cheers Gaz appreciate the info, I’m going for the pilot one for now but I plan to get another shell and will definitely be doing a Ken Block one, this is a slow build due to availability of spares and hop ups I need (Alloy Motor Mount) I have had to re-jig things about.  I originally wanted a brushless set up but don’t want to run too hot a motor with the standard mount so opted for the gt tuned motor for now.

GT Motor finally fitted does anyone know if the 0.6 mod kit pinion is alloy or steel it feels like steel but looks like alloy lol.  Not  much room for the heat sink but made it fit.  Also noticed the rear has some serious camber going on so is next on my list as will be fitting the turnbuckle set.  As I said slow progress but getting there!

Slow updates as been on call at the ready with work so not a lot been happening. Tough times for us all though. This arrived the other day should complement the brushed motor nicely, so electronics and chassis pretty much done for now, going to order paint and finally get the body started, cheers again to ChrisT for the help and advice.  Also thanks to all following/commenting on this thread.  Stay safe everyone more updates soon.

Quick one guys if possible? Should I use the heat plate on this motor with this speed controller or should it not matter? Also finally got hold of an alloy motor mount so might mean I can go brushless after all either way can use these parts in my next project 😂

Yeah, you can still use the heat sink, no reason why not. Wont be any harm. Good choice on the ESC, can easily take motors down to 12 turn iff required. Good find on the motor mount, I did a search when you last mentioned it in the thread and came up nil.

Look forward to seeing the body 👍

Cheers Chris. Yeah it was spot on for the money and I thought it would compliment the motor if I couldn’t find an alloy mount.  Seems an addiction now with parts and upgrades  I wish you never told me that about the motor turns will be looking in no time at other ones 😂. Yeah it’s coming from America so will be here in May. Still got some yellow paint I think in the hut from the racing fighter build so just need to order some blue plaint. Going to have to run this car tbh too much time went in to be a shelf queen 😅

looking great pal. great progress. good luck finding the motor mount i never managed to find one for mine year ago. are you planning on using the dirt guard lexan cover?  if i remember right the heatsink needs to be used if your using the dirt guard. due to cooling issues on the standard motor.

the metal prop on this model im is standard as this type of chassis was the basis for the nitro powered tamiya cars. the diffs and drive train are real heavy duty compared to tt01 tt02 etc.

keep up the great work . you make me wish id kept my tb01

Cheers appreciate the input. Good to know I’ll be using it on loose gravel when I get a chance to run it so will be best to use the heat sink as well I think. I’ve got a spare metal prop too so may need to get a brushless set up on the go if I find another decent spec tb-01 😂

Getting paint delivered is hit and miss. Modelsport use UPS for paint but they seem pretty good ATM with next day delivery. Problem is delivery is £6 so it may be worth making up an order. I believe a lot of places charge £5 upwards or you could try ebay.

However, iff you do want to buy from modelsport be quick. As of 11pm tonight they are closing their web checkout.
