with such a budget forget about Traxxas and similar unless you don't mind going second hand but even than you still might need to invest into new/better parts

below some suggestion which would be miles better than anything in RTR version on the market with your budget, I'm kind of curious how Hobao can still make money ? , lot's of spare parts available for decent money as well as hop ups, parts are usually exchangeable with other models

just add battery and radio and you should be good to go

enjoy whatever you decide to buy ?

For simplicity you can get the rtr version for £325. Or buy the kit, get the much better Max8 combo from here, a Power HD 20kg servo for £30 from Modelsport or keep an eye on Hobbyking as they have them every now and then for £18 plus the radio receiver such as this one for £28. You will also need go faff with paint for the shell and gluing he tires but that’s not a massive chore. A little more than the rtr but better electronics.

The Thunder tiger is a good shout but the VSe has good parts, especially on eBay.

Like many here I have ran many cars, including Traxxas.

I dont think they are worth the cost new. But second hand i would have no issues with buying (and have done several times).

They are a tried and tested design for the most part and whilst its dated - if it aint broke.......

The Revo is one of the best bashing cars you can get. Make a few key upgrades as stuff breaks and its pretty much bullet proof in Nitro or Brushless.

Thats not to say other cars are inferior. Theres plenty of other models that deliver. Im not a Traxxas 'fan'  but im happy to call a spade a spade - they are good cars.
